村治奏一のセカンド・アルバム。もう22歳かあ。いいアルバムを出したねえ。今回も自身によるチャーミングな編曲があったり、バッハのパルティータは、ヴァイオリン譜を忠実に弾いたりと、聴かせてくれます。ディアンスやテデスコも完全に掌中に収めている。★

賑やかな日本のギター界にまたまた大きな“波”がやってきた。アメリカに留学中(ボストンを経て現在はニューヨークのマンハッタン音楽院に在籍)の村治奏一だ。デビュー・アルバムでは正統派ど真ん中を思わせるテクニックと、真っ直ぐな音楽性で驚かされたが、2枚目となる今回はふたまわりも大きくなった彼がいて、さらにびっくり。勉強しながら、ジャズなど他ジャンルの音楽に触れ、また刺激的なニューヨークの空気を吸って、その感性は研ぎ澄まされていく。姉・佳織のスタイリッシュでいい意味でのクール(冷ややか)な音楽とは違うスタイリッシュでクール(かっこいい)な音楽がここにある。力づくでは決してないのに、楽曲が彼の前でひれ伏すかのよう。アルバム・タイトルの“フォーコ”は炎の意味だが、スタイリッシュでありながらその内面では熱い血がたぎっている。ギターという楽器の表現能力の大きさ、そして面白さを十分に感じさせてもくれる。今後も注目したい大器だ。 (堀江昭朗) --- 2004年08月号

　村治奏一くんのバッハは特に好きです。前作メインの「シャコ
ンヌ」も良かったけど、今回のパルティータも、原曲の良さもその
ままに、ギターならではのよさも加わって、なかなかです♪
　グノーのアヴェ・マリアもアルペジオが光ります。これはギター
だからこそ表現できる美しさでしょう。

　お姉さんの佳織さんが、新しい世界を切り開いているとするならば
奏一くんは古典の担い手というべきでしょうか。
