   工業デザイナーのパイオニア的存在として知られ、ニューヨーク近代美術館やルーブル美術館などに作品が永久保存されていることでも有名な柳宗理。「柳式デザイン」をキッチンツールやカトラリーにまで広げた製品群は、そのデザイン的な美しさはもちろんのこと、機能性においても高い評価を受けている。

   こちらの製品はステンレス製のレードル。レードルとはいわゆる「おたま」だが、一般的なそれとは全く異なる存在感を持っている。柳宗理デザインならではのシンプルで柔らかいフォルムは、美しいだけでなく手にもなじみやすい。柄の部分に加えられたカーブがもたらす使い勝手のよさもうれしい。余計な継ぎ目などがない一体成形もポイント。（櫻田もんがい）


メーカーについて

   日本インダストリアル・デザイナーの巨匠、柳宗理（Sori Yanagi）。オリンピックの聖火台や家具、食器、カトラリーなど、作品広範囲に及ぶ。1952年、柳工業デザイン研究会を設立。以来、一貫して「使いよさ」を追及し続ける。その思想には、父であり日本民芸運動の中心的存在であった柳宗悦の影響も少なくない。鍋の持ち手、キッチンツールのカーブ。それら一つ一つが、立体模型により実際に使い勝手を検証しながら生み出されていく。ストイックなまでに贅をそぎ落とし、フォルム、使いやすさ、美しさ、すべてにおいて洗練されたものだけが残る。

鍋底の角のカーブに沿ってすくえる形状で、すくうときに嫌な金属音がしません。よく「おたま」でありがちな柄と丸い下の部分とをつなぐ鋲がなく、きれいに洗いやすいです。材質がしっかりしていて、一生ものとして使えるいいものを購入したと、大満足で使用しています。

Ｍサイズは意外と小ぶりでした。
不便まではいかないですが、小さめの鍋にはいいかも。
カレー位をよそったりするような場合はＬサイズのほうがいいかもしれません。

　柳　宗理レードルは３サイズありますが、比較的小型鍋を使うことが多い場合、このレードルＳが大変便利です。お鍋の底面に対してすくいやすいからです。これがＬサイズだとそうはいきません。柄は長く、おたまは大きくなり、小型鍋ではかえって使いにくくなります。

　何よりも気にいっているのは、柄とおたまがステンレス製一体型であることです。使っているうちに付け根がぐらぐらする心配もありませんし、洗うのもらくちんです。毎日使う道具ですから、ストレスなく使える「一生もの」としておすすめできます。
