骨の髄までﾍﾟﾝﾀﾝｸﾞﾙﾌｧﾝの私には堪えられない深みがあります。なにしろ、このSolomon以外のﾍﾟﾝﾀﾝｸﾞﾙのｱﾙﾊﾞﾑは11年前までにLP、CD共に全部持っていてﾄﾞｲﾂやｱﾒﾘｶに出張した際にも見つけられなくて期待は非常に大きかったのですが、それでも涙が出ました。6曲目のWilly...は新生ﾍﾟﾝﾀﾝｸﾞﾙのｱﾙﾊﾞﾑにも入っていてそちらも素晴らしいできなのですが、このｵﾘｼﾞﾅﾙを聞くとまた全然違います。続く7曲目NoLoveis...はたぶん1年近く私の脳みその中をぐるぐるまわることになるでしょう。本当に素晴らしいｱﾙﾊﾞﾑです。

Pentangleのアルバム、本アルバム以前のものは聴くに際してよい意味で緊張感を感じるのですが、本アルバムはそのようなことなく、彼らがバラッドなどのクラブハウスの小ステージで演奏しているのをテーブル越しで聴いているようなリラックスした気分で聴くことができます。

　６枚目にして、オリジナルメンバーではラストのアルバム（1972年作）。発売枚数が少ない上にマスターの行方不明で長い間ＣＤ化がかなわず幻といわれていたという。
　デビューより５枚目まで、トランスアトランティック・レーベルより出ていたアルバム群を一言で言えば、クールな緊張感とでも言えるかと思う。特徴はアンサンブルの形で、このグループは、５人のメンバーがそれぞれ個として演奏しながらも全体のサウンドはバランスを保つ、というジャズ的ともいえる緊張感あるアンサンブルが特徴であったが、しかし３枚目BASKET OF LIGHTバスケット・オブ・ライト(紙ジャケット仕様)で頂点をきわめて以後、徐々にメンバー間のずれが見えだし、緊張が逆に作用し、ソロ的色彩が強くなっていった。
　それが、５枚目発表後レコード会社を移籍して心機一転となったのか、メンバー間の緊張感が影を潜め、むしろここでは「メンバーが心をひとつにしてサウンドを奏でる」というアンサンブルとしてはむしろ一般的なサウンドとなっている。
　それまでのクールな印象は後退し、ビートルズ的ともいえる統一感と親しみやすさが感じられるのだ。推測するだけだが、ビートルズの「アビイ・ロード」と共通する、「僕らは最後かもしれないが、もう一度」の「白鳥の歌」を感じるのだ。
　もちろんそこは名手ぞろいなので、レベルもビートルズ的といえるほど、おそろしく高い。アルバム前半は粒ぞろいの曲が並ぶし、特にトラッドの６．Willy O'Winsburyは全ペンタングル曲中ベスト５の出来だ。
　好き嫌いで言えばペンタングルの全アルバム中ベストかもしれない。年来の愛聴盤である。
