ペンタングルのファーストは、この紙ジャケット化により初めて聞きましたが、あまりの完成度の高さに驚愕いたしました。
イギリス的トラッド・フォークと言う枠にとらわれず、ジャズ的インタープレイやブルー的要素も含まれ、聞き応え十分な作品です。
これだけメンバー個々の能力が十二分に表現されているファーストアルバムを他に思いつかないくらいです。

~看板の Bert Jansch、John Renbourn のインタープレイ、タイトなリズムセクション、
いずれもデビュー作とは思えないほど完成度は高く、このバンドがデビュー時から非常
に高いレベルにあったことを証明している。Jacqui Mcshee の伸びやかで透明感のある
ボーカルも大変魅力的だ。British Folk Rock のもう一方の雄であるFairport Convention
と比べると Jazz や Blues~~ の色が濃いので、Rock に慣れ親しんだ耳にはこちらの方が
とっつきやすいかもしれない。ボーナストラックもインスト曲を中心に7曲も追加されて
いて、大変おトク！~
