   久々にレコーディングの場をアメリカから日本に戻し、小谷美紗子のピアノ参加が実現した「矯正視力0.六」。このアルバムバージョンでは、歌の持つ力を再認識した。3ピースにこだわらず、ピアノが加わることによってこのバンドのある種の神聖さや、曲が持つ「朝」のイメージが増幅された効果は大きい。本気の人は何度でも新生するものだと感じ入る作品。（石角友香）

良いアルバムです。
ずーっと聴ける長い付き合いになるでしょう。
このアルバムを聞いて少し軽くなったかなという印象を受けました。
初めての方にも聞きやすい、悪い意味では無くシンプルになったというか。

心に染み入るエモーショナル。
情景や人の弱さ、強さ、心境を表すのが本当にうまい人達です。

「矯正視力0.六」＆「敗者復活の歌」は本当に泣けます。

少し生きることに疲れた人、人に失望している人、色んな辛い事にへこんでいる人、eastern youthに、「DON QUIJOTE」に、力を貰いましょう。

少し泣いて、笑って、拳を握り締めて、上を向いて、明日へと進めるはずです。

eastern youthに夕日が似合うと思うのは僕だけでしょうか。

eastern youthは、元気・前向きなときはあまり聞かない気がする。
なんだか落ちて、どこ向かっていんだかわからなくてどうしようもないとき、聞きたくなりませんか？

色々、年を重ねると落ち着いたように見えて、奥行きが増してくるんですかね。

（５）好きです。初イースタンの方も聞ける機会があれば聞いて下さい。

絶対、あとからジワジワ染みて来ますよ~。

前二作『感受性~』と『其処カラ~』は非常に完成度の高い作品だとは思ったが、個人的にいまいち煮え切らない違和感の様なものを感じていたのもまた事実だ。そして前作から一年五ヶ月振りの新譜。圧倒的なエモーションと共に突き刺さってくる音と詩。これこそがeastern youthだと思った。「彼等のメロディアスな側面が前面に出ている」？「小谷美紗子が参加している」？「久々の東京レコーディング」？「久々の英字タイトル」？んな野暮な話はどーだっていい！人間の醜悪さに、世間の俗悪さに、そして全てに絶望してる奴はこれを聴け！！確かに彼等の楽曲には甘えや同情など一切存在する余地は無いし、極端な話「自らのアイデンティティの喧伝」に過ぎないのかもしれない。しかし、自分はこの表題曲『DON QUIJOTE』を聴く度に、「勝ち組」だの「負け組」だのと軽率に他人様の人生をレッテル貼りする傲慢な連中に対する反駁の気概が沸々と煮え滾るのを感じる。「貴様等は何様のつもりだ！」と。
