70年代に活躍した伝説のフォークバンド・かぐや姫が、1975年4月、1975年8月、1978年5月に行ったライブの模様を映像化。「神田川」「遥かなる想い」「22歳の別れ」「好きだった人」「マキシーのために」「赤ちょうちん」「妹」などの全27曲を収録する。

1975年4月の東京神田共立講堂、1975年8月のつま恋、1978年5月の横浜スタジアムでの公演を中心に、かぐや姫のライブ映像を収録。曲は「神田川」「遥かなる想い」「22才の別れ」ほか。

このDVDは、以前発売されたビデオテープのDVD化です。しかしマスターテープの保存状態が悪かった様で非常に音質、画像とも悪いです。ビデオを以前購入しており内容は熟知しておりますが単にDVDに焼きなおしただけの状態です。（音質、画像とも補正作業等施してないと思います、例えは悪いですがまるで海賊版です）画面のノイズもほぼ全編にてはっきり認識でき非常に見ずらいです。ファンの保存目的の資料としてなら別として、商品としてはお勧めできません。ビデオ版が購入可能ならそちらをお勧めいたします。

　レコードでしか聞けなかったかぐや姫が見られるというだけでも、当時コンサートに行けなかった年代層はわくわくしてしまうのです。値段も手頃だし。ところが、DVDプレーヤーにかけてびっくり。画質も音質もリマスターされておらず、古くさい音、（モノラルじゃないの？？）汚い画像、それに本当に時代を感じました。今の水準からすると、ひどい出来です。よく販売したと、日本クラウンの決断に拍手しちゃいます。それでも、当時のかぐや姫に熱狂する観衆、今よりは若いけれど、歌が下手な南こうせつ、伊勢正三、山田パンダの３人には、現在とは違う魅力にあふれていることに気がつきます。

　日本クラウンにお願いします。かぐや姫という素晴らしいアーチストをこんなみっともない形で残さないでください。現代の技術をもってすれば、もっと素晴らしい作品を後世に残せるはずです。

最近このソフトに気づきました。元々記録映画だったと記憶をしています。見に行っています。結構きれいな音で収録してありある意味びっくりしました。横浜スタジアムはグラウンド内で見ていました。このDVDをかけて一曲め、遥かなる想い。あの日がよみがえってきました。星四つには理由があります。78年のツアーだけのソフトだったらよかったのに。でも、見て聞いて時代を感じるよいソフトだと思います。
