比較的に他の作品よりポップですが、ここでも彼らの美学はつらぬかれています。ポップに聴こえるのはダンサンブルな楽曲が多いためでしょうか....。ダニエルのギターはさらに音響的なサウンドになりピーターのVoもさらに力強く、シアトリカルに変化しています。当時のライブ映像をみると、ただ演奏しているだけなのですが演劇の１シーンを見ているような気持ちにさせられます。やはり、奇跡のようなバンドでした
ね...。名盤。

彼らの通算２枚目の作品ですが、ある意味でピーク。メンバーの創作意欲の高まり。それに伴う４人の個性のぶつかり合いから、生まれた曲の数々。peter,daniel,david,kevinの４人が激しく化学反応を起こし、衝突しても、４人が同じ方向へ進む一体感がここにあります。全８曲、捨て曲がないです。（私は、当時アナログレコードを買い、１~８曲までの構成が好きです。きっと、このアルバムにもボーナストラックがつくと思いますが）このアルバム以降、彼らはこの作品にあった、一体感を失います。この後に出した２枚のアルバムも秀作ですが、この時期にあった「静なる暴力性、輝き」は衰え、グループは終演を迎えます。

リマスター仕様と言うことで、音質がどうなるか楽しみです。あと、訳詞を読んでほしいです。この時期彼らはあらゆる物と「戦っています」。それを感じてください。

ファーストと比べてよりポップになったが、こちらの方が聞きやすい。曲も小粒ながら素晴らしく、シングル曲が５枚入ったような小曲集的な感じ。その分アルバムとしての統一感に欠けるが、それゆえ「パッション・オブ・ラバーズ」のような名曲も生み出せたはず。ファーストがギロチン処刑だとすると、こちらはナイフで頚動脈を一突き、といった感じ。
