医師であり聖職者でもあるジョアキムが、ある修道女の診察をきっかけに双子の姉妹を巡る謎にかかわりあっていくというお話です。

姉妹のうち一方は修道女、もう一方は殺人犯という対照的な境遇で、なにやら周りの人々が怪しげな動きをしていれば展開はミエミエだと思っていたのですが、見事に外れました。
普通は製作者側が一枚上手だったという事で素直に賞賛の言葉を述べたいところですが、この作品の場合提示された真相では色々と辻褄の合わない部分が出てきてしまってすっきりしません。
特に後半の登場人物たちの行動は理解に苦しむ部分が多く、観客のこちら側としては唖然としてしまいました。

邦題では『血の呪』という副題も付いておりオカルトチックな要素もあるのかと思っていましたがそんなことはなく、タイトルの意味も不明です。
「スクリール・ディン」という意味深な呟きなど回収に不満のある伏線が多く、作品が途中で空中分解してしまった印象を受けました。

話になーんのひねりもないというか、一昔前の素材ですな、双子間のシンパシーというのは。しかもそれが中途半端で活かしきれてない。痛みだけを感じるサラは死にかけるほど重症なのに、病気のガエルはなんでピンピン歩き回ってんの？　って感じだし。雇って脅したり、人を殺したりしてまで守らにゃならん秘密ってほどでもない。大体、なんで殺されなくちゃいけなかったのか不明。もう秘密はバラされ済みだし、バラされたくないって必死さもないのに。
とかく辻褄が合わない、謎が謎になってない、ラストも意味不明（ってか、あれで「よかった」と思う人が居るのだろうか。腹の傷見たら分かるでショって感じ）。いつの間に恋花咲いてたんだろうか、あの３人…。
必然性というものに全く欠けた話でした。
