堀込兄弟の紡ぎ出す甘い甘いメロディは実のところ、キャッチーなのかどうか判断に苦しむ。あまりに美しすぎて、すっと体に入ってこないというか。でも結局いい曲だし、いつの間にか口ずさんでいる自分がいるのだ。妙にストイックな歌詞も最高だ。

5.0 out of 5 stars 奇妙で美しい作品, 2004/8/5
　構成は「十四時過ぎのカゲロウ」と「冠水橋」の2曲と両曲
のインストの計4トラック。CD-EXTRA形式で壁紙を取得すること
が可能（マキシシングルYOU＆MEの壁紙も素晴しかったが今回も
良い出来）。

・十四時過ぎのカゲロウ
　炎天下の夏によくアスファルトの上などで見る
陽炎（カゲロウ）とカゲロウ（カゲロウ目の昆虫
の総称）をかけているのだろうか。

　昆虫のカゲロウは「カゲロウの命」という言葉
が表すように短命で、儚い命として知られる。
　夏の14時と言えば暑さはちょうどピークに達して、
地面から湧き上がるように陽炎が揺れているのを誰し
も一度は見たことがあるのではないだろうか。その
暑い揺らめき（陽炎）と儚い命のカゲロウ、そして
「欲しいものは見えている」という一言。軽快で奇妙

で美しい一曲。

・冠水橋
ある日の散歩の一時、何かを感じた刹那を大切に詞に
表したという印象の曲。誰もが何かを見て、何かを
感じて生きているが、実際、それを言葉に表すのは
難しい。漠然とした「詞のリアルさ」に一種の共感
を覚えた。
　冠水橋（＝潜水橋、潜り橋）は河川敷に架けられ
洪水になると水没状態になる橋のこと。埼玉県（荒川

水系）の冠水橋は有名（キリンジは埼玉県出身）。
　少し涼しくなった夕方に、この曲を聴きながら、冠水橋を
見に河川敷を散歩するのが、この曲の最高の楽しみ方ではない
だろうか。普通、水面の下に伸びる橋を想像すること
は難しい。人間の作った美しい造形物は数ある中、
何故、「冠水橋」なのか、何故か人を惹きつける冠水橋

の魅力を実際に見て感じてほしい。

こんな曲をつくれるのは、ホントに日本ではキリンジしかいない・・・。
久々に音楽で鳥肌がたちました。。。
泰之（弟）のわけだけど、ヤス曲のいいところを出し切ったという感。
めちゃーくちゃ格好いい！！
ひとくせある歌詞もいいし。
最近のキリンジのシングルに？？？と思っていたあなたも昇天できます。

カップリングもかっこいいし、夏のヘビーローテーション決定！

東芝における、『FBHL』以降、移籍前の宙ぶらりシングルの2枚目。

表紙の飛び込みマッチョマンにまず一笑、ジャケットを開くとモッコリ海パンの兄ちゃんが2人並んでいて(いかにも兄弟風情)、かなり激笑。なにがしたいんだこの兄弟(笑)

M-1「十四時過ぎのカゲロウ」は兄詞、弟曲という珍しい構成＋冨田アレンジ。俺的には後からじわじわくるかんじ。兄は歌詞提供ではそれほど陰鬱なことを言わないという特性がここにも。

M-2「冠水橋」はアレンジまで兄。あの「愛のcoda」を凌駕しかねない、凄みある仕上がり。ダイナミクスが半端ではない。ドラムに珍しく沼澤尚起用。ここでの冨田不参加→冨田ラボ復活→キリンジ移籍と、この頃うちのバンド界隈では大いに気を焼いたものである。

個人的好み...M-1=☆3、M-2=☆5、よって☆4で。
