通算11作目のシングル。(1)は、青空を想わせる歌詞に、ドライヴ感のあるヴォーカルが乗って、爽快なサマー・ポップスに仕上がっている。(2)(3)は、二人が得意とするバラード。歌い上げていないのに、メッセージが伝わってくる。熟練の深みがさらに増したようだ。

久しぶりのシングル。期待してた道りのものでした！まさに2004年版「Point of No Return」って感じですね。海の家でかかってそうな雰囲気です！ただ個人的には「いとしい人」はアルバムに収録されている方が雰囲気出てると思ったんで、4星にしておきました。

シーブリーズのＣＭタイアップ曲「Ｍｉｒａｇｅ　ｉｎ　ｂｌｕｅ」は気持ちいくらい夏の雰囲気にピタリと合う歌詞とメロディーを持つ曲。「夏の蜃気楼~♪」のサビがサマーソングである事を、とくに印象付けます。今回のシングルは「Ｍｉｒａｇｅ　ｉｎ　ｂｌｕｅ」と、妻夫木聡・主演、宮藤官九朗・脚本の映画「６９-ｓｉｘｔｙ　ｎｉｎｅ」主題歌「いとしい人」がダブルＡサイド、カップリングという形で「Ｍｅａｎｉｎｇ　ｏｆ　ｔｅａｒｓ」が組み合わされるという構成。「いとしい人」と「Ｍｅａｎｉｎｇ　ｏｆ　ｔｅａｒｓ」は共に３ｒｄアルバム収録の楽曲ですが、「いとしい人」はシングルバージョン、「Ｍｅａｎｉｎｇ　ｏｆ　ｔｅａｒｓ」はライブバージョンと、ただのリカットではありません。

「いとしい人」が主題歌に採用された映画「６９」は１９６９年を舞台にした青春映画で、当時のカルチャーや風潮を題材にした作品。３ｒｄアルバムのトリを飾った「いとしい人」が、往年のロックの名盤がズラリと並ぶ映画のフィナーレ（大トリ）を飾る事に大注目！

夏に相応しく､爽やかな曲｡
CHEMISTRYのCDを聞いたのは､これが初めて｡
「Mirage ｉｎ blue｣は､2004年資生堂SEA BREEZEのCMｿﾝｸﾞ｡
私のお気に入り｡
