不機嫌そうな顔を向けた印象的なジャケット。

今作のP.J.ハーヴェイはシンプルだ。
ストイックに削ぎ落とした、
剥き出しの言葉とサウンド。

ドライでクールな感触だが、
内に秘めた爆発力を備えている。
ささやくような歌にも、
絞り出すようなシャウトにも
情熱が潜んでいる。
ひりひりとした緊張感と
しなやかな輝きが交錯して、
鈍い光を発する。

彼女は、紛れもなくロッカーだ。

一聴すると聞きやすく感じるが、
突き放され、喉元に突きつけてくる。

ソングライティング、演奏、録音、ミックス、
プロデュースの全てを手がけた
強烈なロック（自分史）。

アイドルなどには
決して持ち得ないパーソナリティ。

かっこいい女性だ。

ここまでシンプルにザクっとしたrockを聴いたのは、いつ以来だろうか。彼女がかき鳴らすザクザクと乾いたギターも、スピリット噴き出しまくリのヴォ-カルも、アヴァンギャルドな香りを放つ楽曲も、全てが新鮮で、「ロックってそう言えばこうだったよな」みたいな気持ちになりました。　ジャケットやPV等のアートワークもカッコイイし、お薦めです。今までPJを聴いてなかった人でも、彼女の音楽を好きになる切っ掛けになるアルバムだと思います。
先ずは『Letter』と『Who The Fuck』あたりを試聴してみて下さい。
ちなみにこの２曲はオフィシャルサイトでPVも見れるようです。
パティスミスが好きな方や、ビョークが好きだと言う方には、特に気に入っていただけるんじゃないでしょうか。

前作よりさらにシンプルに、赤裸々に、強く、やわらかく。　
Pollyはどこまで脱皮を繰り返していくのだろう。
鋭くも優しくもなる歌声。
愛したい、愛されたい、愛しているという欲望を、
ここまで正直に、惜しげなく歌い上げるシンガーは、今のとこ、Pollyだけだと思います。
