1980年2月発表の山口百恵の代表作!しなやかに歌って・愛染橋他春をイメージさせる珠玉の名作(個人的に最高傑作!)鈴木茂作曲の「春爛漫」「抱きしめられて」やなぜベスト版に収録されないか疑問に思われるほどの名曲「ほほえみの向こう側」は必聴。一般的にはシングルリリ-スラッシュの時期に製作された為に寄せ集め的な感じの作品とされているがこれほど当時の百恵さんの心境を語るにふさわしいアルバムは無いと思います。初めて彼女のアルバムを聞くと言う方にも絶対お勧め出来るアルバムです。

百恵さんのアルバムの中で『春告鳥』が一番好きです。百恵さんが現役の頃に、このLPを友達に借りてよく聞いてました。『ほゝえみのむこう側』が聞きたくてこのアルバムがリリースされるのをずっと待ってました。（他のベスト版などにも入ってなくて…）

聞いたとたん百恵さんの現役の頃がよみがえった思いでした。初回生産限定盤の曲目リストには９曲までしか書かれていませんが、普通盤と同じく10曲目の『しなやかに歌って』も入ってたのでとってもうれしかったです。それと初回限定盤の特典『しなやかに歌って』と『娘たち』のカラオケ盤ですが、ジャケットに昔のEP盤のジャケット写真が使われていて、こちらも懐かしかったです。
