   ハイスピードで走るトラックの積荷を、改造車が疾走しながら盗むという強奪事件が多発。そんな折り、ロスのストリートに君臨するドミニク（ヴィン・ディーゼル）の前に、ある日謎の若者ブライアン（ポール・ウォーカー）が現れ、ストリート・レースの勝負を挑む。結果はドミニクの勝利に終わるが、それを機にブライアンは彼らの仲間に加わることになった。しかし、彼の正体は…。
   ストリート・レースに興じる若者たちの姿を描いたヴァイオレンス・カー・アクション映画。正直ドラマそのものは大したことはなく、また現実に考えれば迷惑極まりない連中しか登場しないのだが、彼らの心意気がびんびんに伝わってくるのと、カー・アクションのダイナミック描写ゆえ、まったく飽きることがない。まさに改造車が馬のように雄叫びをあげながら疾走する現代版西部劇といっても過言ではない快作である。（的田也寸志）

内容は、チャーリー・シーン主演の「ノーマンズ・ランド」と「マッド
マックス2」をたして2で割った様な内容ですが、結局どちらの映画の迫力も超えてません。

私が「ワイルドスピード」を見るきっかけは、私が購読している車のチューニング誌に黒人さんがかなりなお金をかけチューニングしたスープラに乗っていて外人さんは「ワイルドスピード」の影響から日本車に魅せられている現象が起きているというようなことが書いてあったからです。見てビックリ！出てくる車がこれでもかという程日本車ばかり！スープラ、ＲＸ-７、シルビアＳ15、インテグラ丸目四灯、シビック、Ｓ2000などなど・・・見ていてゾクゾクしてしまいました。（旧車となってしまった自分の丸目インテが出てきた時は感動で涙が出そうになりました。）ストーリーは・・・そう深くは追求せず全開走行シーンのみで大満足！また自分のインテを頑張ってイジろうっと・・あ、でもスポコンは自分的にはＮＧでぇす！！

いろんな日本車がでてきてヤッホー　スープラがかっこいいです。
個人的にはデフジャムのDABOがエンディングを歌っているのが快挙！！
