   プリンストン大学の数学科に在籍している数学の天才ナッシュは、念願のマサチューセッツ大の研究所で働くことに。ところが彼のもとに諜報員バーチャーがやってきて、雑誌に隠されたソ連の暗号解読を依頼する。彼は承諾するが、そのことがやがて、彼の精神を侵していくことに…。
   実在の数学者の伝記をもとにロン・ハワード監督が映画化。数学者の半生をつづりつつ、エンタテイメント性にもすぐれた点が素晴らしい。特に諜報員に命までおびやかされるナッシュの苦悩の真実が明かされるスリリングな後半は見事だ。
   ラッセル・クロウがナイーブなハートをもったナッシュを熱演。またジェニファー・コネリーは本作でアイドル女優から演技派に。彼女は本作でアカデミー助演女優賞を受賞。ロン・ハワードは監督賞、ほか作品賞などを4冠に輝いた。（斎藤 香）

　本当にすばらしい映画です。経済学を勉強したことのある人はナッシュ均衡とかでジョン・ナッシュの名前は一度は聞いたことがあるでしょう。俺も彼のことは知っていたので、この映画を見たのですが、感動の嵐です。彼のことを知っている人はこの映画はよりすばらしく感じるのではないでしょうか。何度も見てしまったくらいです。しかも、この値段の安すさも超魅力的だと思います（俺が買った時にはもっと高かった…）。

このストーリーの元になった話は聞いたことがあったのでけっこう冷めた目で見ていたのですが、ラッセル・クロウをはじめとした出演者の演技力や構成の妙にぐいぐい引きこまれ、ストーリー終盤は知っている話にも関わらず衝撃と感動の嵐でした。
見終わったあと、どれが真実だったのか必ず確かめたくなると思います。

DVDで何度でも見れる体制を作っておきましょう。

私は平凡で病気一つしない夫に文句ばかりです。ナッシュの奥様の、平凡とはほど遠い、人の何十倍も困難な状態に対し、葛藤も多々あったけど、最終的には逃げ出すこともせず、子育てをしながら、精神を病む夫を支え続けた事実に感動しました。
結婚するまでのロマンティックな描写とは対照的な、新婚早々精神を病み、職を失った夫との闘い、助言は見ごたえがありました。
