この映画に登場するケビン・スペイシーはじめ、みな普通のアメリカ人(らしい)でどこにでもいる人たち。ただ誰にでも悩みがある。それを丁寧に拾い上げて、それぞれの絡みをうまく1本の映画に纏め上げたという印象。ケビン・スペイシーの心理状態の見せ方は結構うまいと思う。

派手なアクションやおどろおどろしいホラーで映画を作るのは、(誤解を恐れずにいえば)濃い味付けの料理のように簡単だが、何気ない日常を切り取って、それでいて印象に残る映画にするのは難しいと思う。その辺が監督、脚本などのオスカー主要5部門を受賞した理由だと思う。

見終わった後はなんとなく納得できない気分にさせるが、いろいろと考えさせてくれる、私にとってはいい映画だと思う。

役者がさすが！そして絵がきれい！
話自体もアメリカのちょっとした闇を描きつつ家庭ドラマチックで。
薔薇の映像とか映像も凝ってる。凝った映像が邪魔にならない。
皮肉のきいたストーリーで、ついつい引き込まれ。
ラストは、時間よ巻きもどれととても辛くなる。
心に残るのは名作な証だと思います。

普通に仕事があって子供や奥さんに囲まれた家庭もあって、世間から見れば何不自由ない暮らしぶりであることは冷静に考えれば理解できる。でも何故か毎日モヤモヤと落ち着かず、自分のこれまでの人生には後悔の念しか浮かばず、逆に自分以外の全ての人の人生が羨ましくて仕方がない。俺の人生、どこで道を誤ってこんなところに来ちゃったんだろう...。

日頃こういう気分が晴れない、厄年を迎えた辺りの中年オヤジの方。
主人公に自分を重ねてこの映画をご覧下さい。

もちろん映画なので、ここで起こることは現実的にはまずあり得ないことですし、この主人公のようにやればいいというものではありませんが、それは差し引いても、何か感ずるものがあるのではと思います。

答えは提示されませんが。（それは各自が考えることなので）
