'97年デビュー後、'01にインディーズへ活動の場を移してもなお地道な活動を続け'03年夏に大阪のラジオで「再会」がヒット。これを機に今年めでたくメジャーシーンへ返り咲きを果たしたThe LOVE。

彼らがデビューした'97年は小室ファミリー全盛期。J-POPのCDを買う世代は若者（学生さん）中心だった印象があります。それに合わせてなのか不明ですが、メジャーデビュー後The LOVEがリリースする新曲は「Free」などに代表される（今やLIVEでは必ず盛り上がる）アップテンポでPOPなものが中心でした。もちろんキャッチーなメロディなので私もこれらの曲は大好きですが、やはりThe LOVEの良さが最大限に発揮できる曲といったら、ミディアムテンポのバラードでしょう！

収録曲は「再会」をはじめ、(2)(4)(8)(9)(10)などが博多時代からの曲になります。

(14)はここ数年間の中では渾身の１曲ではないでしょうか。これを聴くと涙が止まりません。でも個人的な不満を挙げるならば、インディーズ・メジャーそれぞれから何度も同じ曲をリリースしているので、ベスト盤には「あの駅で待ってる」や「ファーストデート」などの未発表曲をせめて１曲でもいいから収録して欲しかったですね。

しかしながら、彼らの地元・福岡インディーズ時代からのファンにとっては、ようやくThe LOVEらしい曲目が揃ったアルバムがリリースされた！といった感じですし、全く知らなかった方にはThe LOVEを知ってもらうには最適のアルバムです。とゆうことで★５つ！

the loveと出会ったのは、中学のとき、ラジオから流れてきた「君と僕」という曲でした。すごく好きで、ラジオからカセットに録音して、リピートして何度も聴いていました。その時は、なぜかＣＤを購入せず、７年ほど経った今、なぜか聴きたくなったんです。曲名で検索すると、なぜかＢＥＳＴアルバムが出てて、買うしかない！って感じで買いました。

懐かしくて、ホント感動しました。「君と僕」だけでなく、他の曲もかなり良かった！特に、７曲目の「ヒロイン」・・・好きな人に、彼氏がいても、それでも好きで、好きだって曲です。歌詞が切ないです。あとは、１４曲目の「遅咲きの花」、もう、なんとも言えないです。とにかく聴いてみてください！
