このCDについて

デビュー15周年記念アルバム。タイトルの『百景』（ひゃっけい）とは百の景色。野外を中心にした2001年~2003年の3年間のツアーでTHE BOOMが出逢ったさまざまな景色が詰まっている。

2003年11月のツアー・ファイナルで初披露された「明日からはじまる」や、2001年、2002年とコンサートで訪れた北海道稚内のことを歌った「白いハマナス」、同じくツアーで訪れた佐渡島での思い出を歌にした「朱鷺―トキ―」の新録、THE BOOMの新たな沖縄ソング「心の泉に浮かぶ島」、5月のデビュー15周年ライブで入場者にプレゼントされた「光」（大阪城ホール）、「24時間の旅」（日本武道館）など、全11曲を収録。

この『百景』は、日本が丸ごと詰まっているという感じで、旅行好きには、モッテコイ！な作品だと思います。通勤の時などに聞くと、「これから、仕事かぁ~」では無く「今日はどんな旅になるかな･･･」に変わりますよ(＾_＾)V先日行った、ライブが５つ星なので４つです！

ＴＨＥ ＢＯＯＭの１１枚目のオリジナル・アルバム。
スカ、沖縄音楽、サンバ、ロックと様々なジャンルの垣根をまたいで曲作りをしてきたブームだが、このアルバムでは、日本人の琴線に触れ、歌い継がれていきそうな日本的情緒にあふれた“うた”作りに徹しているように感じられる。

アレンジも過剰さはなく、全体的にアコースティックな響きが大切にされており、音と音の隙間に聴く人がゆったりと身をゆだねられるようなサウンドに仕上がっている。

ＴＨＥ　ＢＯＯＭは島唄だ！と思っている人は、あれ！？と思うかもしれません。でも、これがＢＯＯＭワールドだ！と思います。感じるままに、出来上がった歌達だなぁと思います。懐かしかったり、新しかったり。じっくり聞けるし、ぼーっと聞き流してても、心地よいです。
