   脚本に『ビューティフルライフ』の北川悦吏子、キャストに妻夫木聡と柴咲コウらの若手人気俳優陣を配して制作された、2004年4月期TBS系ドラマ『オレンジデイズ』のサウンドトラック盤。音楽は、『マンハッタンラブストーリー』や同じ日曜9時枠で大ヒットした『GOOD LUCK!!』などが記憶に新しい佐藤直紀が担当している。

   主人公の大学生・櫂と、聴覚に障害を持つヒロイン・冴絵の、ピュアで不器用な恋愛模様を、美しいストリングスが演出する。一方で、はねるビートやほどよく乾いたギターが耳に心地よいアップテンポの楽曲は、大学の仲間たちとの楽しい日々を象徴するかのよう。ドラマを越えて、誰しもの青春の1ページを思い出させるような、瑞々しい楽曲が詰め込まれている。Mr. Childrenの主題歌「Sign」はインストで収録。（安川正吾）

　ストリングスをふんだんに散りばめた曲から、エレキギターをメインにした活動的な曲など、
作曲者・佐藤直紀さんの多彩な楽曲がドラマのシーンとうまく溶け込んでいて、ドラマでは
一部しか聞けない曲の全容やテレビから聞き取れない音なども楽しめます。

　ただドラマサントラアルバムとしては綺麗にまとめすぎてしまった感もあり、収録し切れて
いない曲もだいぶあるようで、短い曲(ドラマのタイトルオープニング曲やピアノのみで構成された
曲のいくつか)などは収録を見送られたりと、サントラでは無く「佐藤直紀作品集 in オレンジデイズ」
という印象が強いと感じました。使用している曲すべてを収録するのは難しい
でしょうけど、もう少し多くの曲を入れて欲しかったです。この点がものすごく悔やまれました。

「オレンジデイズ」サウンドトラック。。。

ドラマの中で流れていた曲を聞きたくて、
ドラマが終わってから買いました。
ああ、これはあの場面だな。。
いろいろ思い出しながら聞きました。

メインテーマのSignは、Mr.Childrenが歌う
主題歌とは趣が違い、これはこれで、いい感じです。

★３．５くらいかな。

ドラマは終わってしまいましたが、
このサントラを聞いていると、
色々なシーンが思い出されてきます。
やっぱり、「Sign- instrumental of orange days -」が最高です。
このサントラを聞いて、余韻に浸ってみてはどうでしょうか？
