    エルリック兄弟が探し求める賢者の石。ついに確信に迫る話に入ってきました。原作から少し離れてオリジナルストーリーへと入っていくんですが、もう早く続きが見たくなってしまうような内容です。まだ幼い少年だというのに次々と残酷な真実に翻弄されていくエドとアル。

    「自分達のしていることは本当に正しいのか？もう元の肉体を取り戻すことは不可能なのか？」深く沈むエド。
    「まだ他に方法があるかもしれない・・・諦めるのはまだ早い」と励まし続けるアル。本当にこの作品には「兄弟愛」というものを思い知らされてしまいます。

    しかしこの巻の後半で今までずっと信じてやまなかった兄の真意に疑いを持つアル。「兄さんは僕に何かを隠してる・・・」
    普段いいコンビの兄弟なだけにシリアスになられると目が離せません！
    とにかくこの巻だけでなく、この作品自体が大注目です。

    なんだか、どんどん原作から離れてオリジナル・ストーリー的な話になって来ていますが、面白いので全然問題ないです。（笑）
    原作同様アニメもこれからどうなるか、とても楽しみですね~♪

    ハガレンファンの僕は、１９話~２２話を見てこんな事があっていいいいのかと思いました。驚きの連続です!!!　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　19話『真実の奥の奥』賢者の石の製造方法を知って唖然するエド。やがてマルコーの残したメモの意味を確かめることを決意します。もう驚きの連続デス!!!　20話『守護者の魂』賢者の石の研究場所が明らかになります!!!エドとアルに襲い掛かる黒い影・・死刑囚ナンバー48とナンバー66。研究所の守護者を名乗る二人の正体とは・・　　21話『紅い輝き』第五研究所の中で繰り広げられる、ナンバー48とエドの死闘。「賢者の石」の情報をめぐり息もつかせぬ一進一退の攻防が続きます。一方アルとナンバー66の戦いも始まろうとしていた。　22話『造られた人間』第五研究所の深部へとたどり着いたエド。前は、錬金術の軍事転用の為に、大規模な生体錬成の研究が行なわれていた。研究所内に放置された、夥しい量の未完成の賢者の石と巨大な錬成陣。タッカーは、エドにそれらの材料を使用し、賢者の石を完成させることを提案する。
