ベルリンを拠点に活動する3人組トゥ・ロココ・ロットは、ここ数年のあいだ、いわゆるポスト・ロックの言語にのっとって、とても微妙に心揺さぶる楽曲を作りだしてきた。シンプルに重なり合うメロディー、常に軽快なリズム、生楽器とエレクトロニクスとを溶けあわせることへのあからさまなアプローチは、楽曲を通じて常に一貫していた。本作では、さまざまな楽器を織り交ぜてゆったり進む音楽を、これまで以上に聴かせてくれる。大多数のバンドは、ともすればサウンドに起伏をつけることで、ドラマや緊張感や興奮を生みだそうとしがちだが、トゥ・ロココ・ロットはその手のあからさまなパターンを避けている。まるで田舎道をおとなしくぶらぶらと歩いているかのように、各トラックはゆったりと神秘的に、あてどもなく進んでいく。抑え目すぎるほどのペースといってもよく、ことさら特別な効果を上げようと急いだりはしない。
各トラックの何よりの魅力は、メロディアスな構成、サウンドと楽器のこのバンドならではの選択、サウンドと音質の絶え間なく独創的な融合にある。「Miss You」「Bologna」といったトラックは、初期のテクノの影響に立ち戻っていて、ひょっとするとリスナーが眠りに落ちないようにしているのかもしれない。しかしリスナーは、純粋で簡素なアンビエンスでうってつけなタイトルの「Non Song」であろうが、静謐な崩壊感を感じさせる「Ovo」のようなトラックであろうがどちらにしても、もっと心安らぐトラックへと常に引き戻されていく。自ら築いた曖昧な音楽世界でくつろいでいるバンドのサウンドが、全編を通して鳴っている。（Ern Bay, Amazon.co.uk）
