“冬のソナタ” を手がけたユン・ソクホ監督が手がけた恋愛ドラマの 《四季》 シリーズ第3作目 『夏の香り』（2004年5月1日からWOWOWで放送）。主演は 『秋の童話』 でもユン監督と組んだ、韓国のみならずアジアで人気俳優として有名なソン・スンホンと、主演映画 『ラブストーリー』 が日本でもヒットとなったソン・イェジン。
水彩画のように明るくて繊細な映像とともに、ドラマの雰囲気を盛り上げる音楽は “Ryu” がサウンドプロデュースを担当。ユン・ソクホ監督に声をかけられ 「冬のソナタ」 で主題歌 「最初から今まで」 と挿入歌 「Moment」 という2曲の美しいバラードを熱唱。ユン・ソクホ監督と再び組んだ 「夏の香り」 では、惜しくも彼自身の歌声は聞けないが、「冬のソナタ」 同様、ピュアでセンチメンタルな楽曲の数々を提供しています。

   楽曲そのものは、好きになってはいけない人を思う切ない心情を歌ったものがほとんど。一方でアレンジは、物語の背景となった緑豊かな田園風景やリゾート地の眺望を思わせる、さわやかで清らかな印象だ。その取り合わせが絶妙な効果を生み、センチメンタルだがべたつかない、ユニークな仕上がりの1枚となっている。（安川正吾）

１曲１曲が、夏の香りの内容にあっていて、せつないバラードや
夏の爽やかさが曲から伝わり、曲ごとにシーンが思い出されます。
日本語訳と韓国詩はカタカナ読み表記が記載されているので、詩の内容を
理解して、歌詞が覚えられて韓国語もマスターできちゃいます。
「夏の香り」ファンの人には、絶対に必須アイテムです。

ソ・ジニョンの澄んだ歌声は、感動ものです。

WOWWOWで放送中の「夏の香り」に夢中になっているので、サントラを買いました。「秘密」が特に好きです。聴いているとせつなくもあり、歌詞のとおり胸が高鳴るような・・・。チョン・インホさんの声がキレイで心地よいです。「冬ソナ」と「秋の童話」のサントラも好きですが、今聴くなら季節的にもこの1枚だと思います。

夏の香りの名の通り、さわやかな感じのする音楽です。冬のソナタの様ないやし系の曲プラス、ついハミングしたくなる様な曲もあります。これから、夏に向かっておすすめの１枚だと思います。個人的にはタイトルと同じ”夏の香り”が好きです。ぜひぜひ聴いてみて下さいね。
