音楽面に関しては他の方々によるレヴューが多数存在するので、ぼくはエンハンスドCDについて。

PV一本だけ見せられて終わるのかと思いきや、シカゴでのライヴの音源が、ほとんどノーカットで、二回目のアンコールまで2時間11分も収められています（Quick　Timeで再生。動画なし）。内容も、これぞ、現在のアメリカン・オルタナ・ロック／カントリー・バンドによる最高水準のライヴ演奏と観客の興奮と思えるものを伝えています。これほど豪華なエンハンスドCD特典にぼくは出会ったことがありません。CD本編含めてもちろん五つ星です。

　ノンサッチ移籍第２弾。ジムオルークとのいい関係を持続したまま、またモンスターアルバムが届いた。今年のベスト、前作に比較したロック寄りの音楽などなど他のレビューアの様々なご感想ごもっとも！　適度な遊びゴゴロと古めかしい音とWILCO独自の斬新な音がいいさじ加減で配合されている。#3『spider』などは最たるもので１０分強の曲ばってん気にならんとです。
　前作辺りから言える事ではありますが、一皮むけたならぬ一殻割れた内ジャケのようなバンドとしての風格を感じさせ、1ヶ月数枚しか買えないCDですが、ウィルコのCDを買うことに悩む事は、もうないでしょう。

前作は大好きでした。今回のも延長線上にあります。
歌詞は変わらず切なく、声も切ないです。
ちょっと諦めている切なさ、というか。

ギターが、特にソロになると、とてもいい音と響きがしています。
フレーズもよいです。
なぜか、ちょっと、くるりの岸田氏のプレイを思い出します。

もはやオルタナ・カントリーなどと言われていた時代は過去のもの。

曲によっては後期ＸＴＣや、ハンキー・ドリーのころのＤ.ボウイなんかも
連想させるほどです。特にピアノなんか。

初夏の、それでもあまり暑くない日に、のんびりしながら聴きたい感じです。
