　時がたつのははやいもので、彼らが「悲しいわがまま」でデビューしてからもう5年になりますが、「これを機にベスト・アルバムを出しちゃえ!!」ってことで出された初のベストです。
　私を含めて少ないながらコアなファンがいるものの、いまいちメジャーにはなりきれなかったこの5年間ですが、世に出してきた作品に関しては全く手を抜かなかったことを証明する珠玉の1枚に出来上がっております。

　彼らの曲の中でもっとも有名なものといえば、おそらく「風をあつめて」になると思いますが、基本的なwyolicaのスタンスとこの曲は基本的に相容れないものと、個人的には思っていて、今回のアルバムもこの曲だけが異質感が強いように思います。

　しかし、その他の曲に関しては、ベスト・アルバムの名に相応しいすばらしい選曲になっています。
　wyolicaを聴いたことのある人にとってはもちろん、聞いたことのない人にとっても非常におススメできる1枚です。

これはwyolicaを知らない人も聞きやすいCDだと思います。
3曲目の「風をあつめて」はDragon Ash のKjこと降谷健志も参加していて、カッコイイ曲に仕上がってます。
「スパークル」の歌詞は、落ち込んでるときに聞くと勇気付けられます。それもそのはず、azumiが初めて人のために歌詞を書いたらしい･･･。

azumiの声は、透明感があって切なくて、浸るにはもってこいの声です。
落ち込んだときとか、スゴク疲れたときには必ずwyolica聞きます。

　ワイヨリカを未聴の人も、愛聴してきた人も、音楽のもつ温度が好きな人は
もっておくべきベスト版だと思います。聴くと、思い出が綺麗になります。

長距離バス（よく乗るので）で聴いていて、涙が流れた曲がいくつもあります。それだけに人に薦めたい御機嫌なＣＤとは違って、ウォークマンでこっそり聴いて涙目で外を見ながら、しばし時を忘れたいという、極端に内省的な必需品。大事なＣＤとはこのようなものを言うのだと思います。

　ちなみに初回限定のライブ映像ＤＶＤ付きのほうは、プレイヤーがないので、初回版が棚に並んでいるのにわざわざ通常版を買いました。ライブを見ながら聴くより独りで耳元から聴きたい、心にやさしいワイヨリカです。
（まったく関係ありませんが、先輩の彼女がワイヨリカのａｚｕｍｉそっくり
で、失恋に近いものがありました。）
