元ザ・ストリート・スライダーズのフロントマン、HARRYのソロ第2作目。前作はKYONとの共同プロデュースでしたが、今回はHARRY1人によるプロデュースとなっています。演奏も、ギター（もちろんHARRY本人によるもの）、ベース、ドラムスのみの完全なトリオ編成で録音されています。中にはアコギ一本のみの弾き語りもあり。前作よりも更にストイックで、ほぼ一発録りに近いと思われるその粗いサウンドは、いかにもロックンロール！　カヴァー曲（4曲）も良い出来ですが、やっぱりHARRYはオリジナル曲が良いです。
蛇足ですが、「Run Silent, Run Deep」はスライダーズ時代に作られた曲で、彼らのCD・BOX SET「ROX IN THE BOX」のみに、そのデモ・ヴァージョンが収録されていましたが、ここでは若干テンポを落とし、少々へヴィなタッチで生まれ変わっています。

　このアルバムでのハリーのギターは、より野太く、間は完璧で、その分まっすぐ腰にくるグルーヴ感。まるで、あの名曲"Dancin' Doll"のハリーのパートを、贅肉を削いだ上に情緒性と攻撃性を増した感じの"PERSIAN BLUE"を聴くや否や、ひさびさのノックアウトを食らいました。とてもカッコイイ。
　この人の音楽を語る時には余計な言い回しはいらないですね。

　エアロスミスの最新アルバムに"You Gotta Move"のカヴァーが入っていて、中田英寿が出ているコカコーラのＣＭにも使われていますが、こっちの方がカッコイイです。自分の目の前でハリーが歌っているような臨場感です。ドラムも凄い。聴いた瞬間、ハリーの勝ち、と思いました。
　もちろん、他の楽曲も、オリジナルもカヴァーも、自然と腰がリズムを刻みます。

これって新作？と思うのはコアなファン。昔からずっと観てる、ＳＳ解散後もまじめにライヴに通っている“ハリー者”にとってはあまりにもおなじみの曲ばかり…実際ワタシが初めて聞いたのは３曲のみ。
でもでも、いいんですやっぱし。深くて大きいグルーヴ、落ち着いてるようでいて決してゴージャスにはならないトンガリ感。

これで自然に腰が動くようなら相当なオトナとお見受けいたします。
ジャケがヒーリング系と勘違いされそうなので☆１つ減。まあワタシのような人間にはある意味ヒーリングみたいなもんだが；
