　1966-72年にかけBONZO DOG BANDのメンバーとして活動したニール・イネスの77年発表のソロ第2作目。70年代前半からモンティ・パイソン（かの有名な英国のコメディ番組）に準メンバーとして参加、番組から生まれたビートルズのパロディ・バンドThe Rutles（アルバムは1978年発表）に参加していた頃に作られたソロ・アルバムです。　

　ラトルズのアルバムがパロディの範疇に閉じ込めるのには惜しいようなクオリティを持ったアルバムであった通り、ここでも素晴らしい音楽を披露しています。

　マスター・テープの消失のためレコードを元にCDが作られたとの事で、明らかなスクラッチ音が聴かれるのが残念。またちょっと高すぎる気がします。しかし、中古市場でレコードを入手するのも困難だし、またこのCDがたった2000枚限定という事を考えると、購入しておいても損はないかな？という感じです。個人的には、どちらかと言われたら、より多彩で聴きやすい同時発売の3枚目の方をお勧めします。

オリジナルマスター紛失は仕方がないとしても・・
GOD IS LOVEはオリジナル音源ではない別バージョンです。
リコレクションで発表されていた音源とすりかえてあります。この１曲のためにまとまりがなく聴こえてしまいます。オリジナル音源で出し直して欲しい！

そうはいっても待ちに待った待望のCD化ですから買いだめしたりしないで多くの人に聴いてもらいましょうね。

ラトルズで有名になった「シャングリラ」のオリジナルを含む 77年の 2ndソロアルバムです。
再発が待たれて待たれてやっと出ました。しかも限定 2000枚。どうしようかなぁ...と考えている間に売り場から消えちゃいますよ。

ただ残念なのはマスターテープ紛失とのことで音源をレコードから録り直していること。仕方がないと納得するものの、ノイズが気にならないと言えばウソになります。
