KYのLouisville出身のFlawの新作。前作Through the Eyesにはまり、期待していた。オリジナルメンバーのギタリストJasonとドラマーChris B.が音楽性の違いと個人的な理由により抜け、音にどのような影響が出るか心配だった。新作はメロディーの美しさが前面に出ているが、前作のような展開の複雑な曲が減った。ヴォーカルChris V.の母親の自殺は前作同様歌詞に影響を与えているが、自分の子供の誕生や前作の成功等私生活の明るさが音楽に反映しているのだろうか。曲作りの中心はRyanとLanceになっており、Ryanのバックコーラスが増えた。Chris B.が辞める前にドラムスのパートを作ったため、特徴あるリズムは健在だが、前のアルバムのPayback調の曲が目立つ。ライブではリクエストした曲を即興で演奏するファン思いの実力派。新しいドラマーMicahも力強いドラムを聞かせていた。来日してほしいバンドだ。

本作を通しで聞いた時、始めはイマイチかなと思ったけど
聞き込んでいくとなかなかいい曲が多いのがわかってくるという、
スルメのような作品。
前作同様、いい曲が後半に寄せてあるのが私好み。
前作が気に入った人は間違いなく買い。

かみさんは｢こんどもギターソロがないの?｣と不満そうでした。

FLAWのセカンドアルバムです。
前作が死ぬほど好きで、2作目も買った次第です。
下の方もおっしゃってますが
前作はダークなキーばっかりだったんですが
今回は明るくなってます！
特に5曲目の「Many Faces」なんかは
“FLAWがこんなメロディーを？！”と驚かされました。
もちろん期待を裏切る形ではなく、FLAWの新しい側面を見せてくれます。
相変わらずバランスのいいバンドです！
気になった人は即買いましょう。
