   小説、映画で大ヒットした「ハリー・ポッター」シリーズの3作目が原作のアクションアドベンチャー。今作ではハリーの両親を殺したとされる殺人鬼シリウス・ブラックが魔法界の牢獄アズカバンから脱獄し、13歳になったハリーの命を狙う。

   プレイヤーはハリー、ロン、ハーマイオニーの3人のパーティーのなかから、状況に合わせて操作キャラを切り替え、特長をうまく使い分けてゲームを進める。フィールドやバトルで魔法を駆使して謎を解くという、まるで原作のなかにいるような感覚でプレイできる。

   原作に出てくる魔法はもちろん、本作では原作者J・K・ローリング氏監修によるゲームオリジナルの魔法も登場。ドラゴンの炎を操ったり、敵を固めたりする魔法などが多彩に用意されている。

   1プレイ用のストーリーモードのほか、決闘クラブやほうきのレースといった2プレイ対戦可能なモードもある。また、ホグワーツを探検したり、ほかの生徒とミニゲーム対戦を楽しんだりと、本編以外にも楽しみが盛り込まれている。

   さらに、別売りの『ゲームキューブ用GBAケーブル』を使用してGBA版『ハリー・ポッターとアズカバンの囚人』と接続すると、原作に登場するようなふくろうたちを育成できるようになる。GBA版が無くても、ミニゲームをGBA本体にダウンロードして遊べるなど、連動した楽しさが満載だ。（江口 湊）

全体的にはとても楽しくプレイ出来ました。
謎解きや登場人物達の雰囲気もとても良くて良作だと感じました。
時々仲間が勝手に喋り出し，その会話がまた面白かったです。

戦闘中なんかは仲間のフリペンドが当たると「ごめん」とか言って
くれたり，とにかく楽しかったです。(笑)

ストーリーがかなり大ざっぱにはしょられているのは残念ですが，
ゲーム容量の限界からしても仕方のないことなのでしょうか。
まぁその分，想像を膨らませたり，原作を読むなどの楽しみも残さ
れるかと思います。

唯一の不満は，移動（扉を開けるなど）の時に９秒前後のロードが
頻繁に入ることです。全ての扉ではありませんがかなり頻繁に入り
ます。道を間違えて右往左往中の時やアイテムを探し中の時などは，
頻繁なロードがかなりうっとうしく感じました。
これさえなければ満点のゲームだと思いました。

またホグワーツ新たな学期がやってきました！
またハリーを自分の手で動かせるのです！！
更に今回はロンやハーマイオニーまでもが操作できます！これは
ハリーポッターファンにはたまらないでしょう

前作で少し不満の挙がったロード時間も短縮され、心地よくプレーすることが
できます。
　　ハリーポッターファンならずとも買いの一品でしょう！！

もうサイコーーーーーです。
皆さんも買ってみたらどうでしょう。
ハリーのほかに、ハーマイオニー、ロン、
なども使えるのでサイコーーーーです。
