この人の声は切ないです。
joeなんかが好きな人は必ずハマるです。
前のアルバムの方がこの人の声に合った曲が多かったですが、
このアルバムもこの人がほぼ全曲プロデュースしてるんで、
そこそこいい曲があります。ただ、この人はbadboyに合ってない？
ような気がします。　badboyを離れて曲を作ったほうがいい曲ができるように思います。

ちなみにこのアルバムはhiphopじゃないんで、
ここにあるのは間違いだと思います。

97年にアーティストとしてデビューし、その後Puff Daddyの右腕として様々なアーティストの楽曲のプロデュースを矢継ぎ早にこなしていく。そして遅すぎた2ndアルバムがここにリリース。ただ待った甲斐はあった。アルバム全米初登場2位。そこからの先行シングル(3)も全米チャート2位上昇中。正直これまでのブレイクは予想していなかったが、それだけ満を持してのリリースだったのだろう。Enyaの曲をサンプリングという大胆な発想から生まれた先行シングル(3)。一聴すると、Fugeesの"Ready Or Not"が思い出される。というか、ビートはまさにFugeesのそれと同じ。なんともスリリングな雰囲気が充満している。ただメロディアスな雰囲気で彼の優しいボーカルが心地いい。サンプリングといえば、なんとMadonnaの"Papa Don't Preach"使いの(2)には驚いた。R&Bの曲でMadonna使いという突拍子もない発想も凄いが、これがまた巧い具合に楽曲に溶け込んでいるからお見事。アップではFoxy Brownをフューチャリングした(12)がいい。Bad Boyらしいバウンシーな曲でアルバムにいいアクセントを与えている。ただアルバム全体はバラードが大半を占めている。その中ではマイナー調ながらなんとも味わい深い(10)が個人的にはヒット。ただ、全体的にちょっと大人しいかな。バラード系でもちょっとハッとするような作りのものがあれば全体的にもっと引き締まって聞こえたかも。でもオーソドックスなR&Bを堪能できる作りにはなっている。今後のシングル展開がどうなるかが楽しみ。

正直なところＢＡＤＢＯＹが好きで購入して、素人目からでも非常に聴きやすいアルバムだと思います。マリオの大人の魅力がタップリ染み込んだ曲がたくさん詰まってます。特に3はエンヤ大ネタをサンプリングした哀愁漂酔わせているメロディーにホント泣きそうです（＾＾；）週末、車デートに使える１枚だと思いますよ。海見ながらなんて最高でしょうね！夜、１人でゆっくり聴きたい人にもお勧めします！
