彼等の盟友とも呼べるILL BOSSTINO、SHING02、NUMB、DJ BAKU等々といった多彩な「有志・同志」を迎えたセッションアルバムとなった本作だが、ある意味物凄くベタな客演陣のセレクトに思わず狂喜の声を上げてしまった自分である。とかくコラボ作と言えば軟派なパーティーチューンの寄せ集めになりがちだが、馴れ合いなど一切介在しない様な男臭い作風に仕上がっている所は実に彼等らしい。クレジットを見ると既発曲のタイトルが随分と並んでいるが、一本調子だった前作の楽曲もゲストの参加により立体感がぐっと増している。ボーカルトラックはやはり原曲がダブなだけに、ヒップホップ勢よりもJUMBO MAATCHやRAGGA TWINSといったラガMCの方がよくハマってるなという印象だが、結果としてバラエティ豊かで飽きさせない内容になっている所は素晴らしい。熱きクリエイター達の反骨精神のぶつかり合いが凝縮された、本当の意味でのパンク“レベル”ミュージックと言えるだろう。

SOLIDARITYというアルバムは実に長い時間がかかって出来たアルバムと思える。
話が持ち上がったのは2003年のアルバム「REBEL FAMILIA」の頃にまで遡るのではないかと思われる。(僕がうっすら聞いたのが）
（詳細は本人達以外はわからないが）
厳密にはもっと前かもしれないが、おそらくファーストアルバムのレコーディング前後に、（つまりは2002年終わりから2003年の初め）北は北海道から西は広島までの1945やブルーハーブとの真冬のツアーあたりからであろう。2002年にはSHINGO2&THE HEAVYMANNERSとしてFUJIROCKのステージもあったことであるし。この後三軒茶屋ヘヴンズでレベルファミリアとSHINGO2はライブもしている。
ファーストアルバム「REBEL FAMILIA」は2003年5月に発売。SHINGO2は当初、ライブでやっていたSTAND ALONEとリリックが変わっているように思われる。おそらく東京でのセッションをオークランドに持ち帰ったのでは？とも思えるが最終的には東京で翌年行った。

SOLIDARITYは時間と気持ちのやり取りが随分とあったのでは、とも思う。もちろん全てが全てそうであるとも思えないが、気持ちで作り上げたから各曲が説得力を持っているのであろう。いかにせよ2004年を代表する傑作。

ゲスト陣はブルーハーブのboss,shingo2等、共に活動しているアーティストが参加。普通こんなにクセのある人達があつまれば、バラバラな感じがするけど、メッセージ、サウンド、全てにおいてなんて統一感があってすごい。今やPUNKも名ばかりの態のいいジャンルになってしまったけど、これは現代版のPUNK。怒りやメッセージを各アーティストがハンパなく出してます。一曲目を飾るボスの「飽きたらねえなら立ち上がれ、俺達になまぬるい明日はない」っていう言葉で始まり、そしてSHINGO2の「孤高の精神を持つ不屈の獅子と成れ」で終わる本作。みんな素晴らしい。強く心に響きます。
