このCDの仕様

『PLAYS THE STANDARDS』の好評を得て、遂に第二弾が登場。今回はスタンダードの曲に加えてルパン楽曲を含む大野オリジナル曲も収録。そんな意味合いを込めていさぎよく"アザーズ"という言葉が加えられた。とは言え今回のスタンダード・ナンバーの選曲は前々作以上に幅広いことが特徴。ビートルズの「アンド・アイ・ラヴ・ハー」、ビリー・ジョエルの「素顔のままで」といったポップス・スタンダードから、映画音楽スタンダードの「黒いオルフェ」、さらには「フライ・ミー・トゥ・ザ・ムーン」「セント・ルイス・ブルース」といった黄金ナンバーも欠かさず収録。大野の個性的なアレンジによるスタンダードを存分に堪能していただきたい。
そしてオリジナルが4曲。お馴染みルパン・ナンバーからは最近のライブで大人気の「ゼニガタ・ロック」と、映画「ルパン三世 カリオストロの城」で効果的に使用された傑作「サンバ・テンペラード」がアッと驚くニュー・アレンジでお目見えする。もちろん新曲オリジナル2曲もその中で一際光る存在感を放っているのも聞き逃せない。
トリオはレコーディング、ライブとすっかり意気もぴったりの固定メンバー。ドラムスは村田憲一郎が、変わらぬキレの良さでビートを刻み、ベースの俵山昌之は今回はじめてエレキ・ベースも駆使して録音に挑んだ。ジャズ好きもジャズ初心者も皆で楽しめるホットなアルバム、それこそが"ルパン・ザ・サード・ジャズ"のコンセプト。
「スタンダードとオリジナル、6:4の焼酎割りみたいな感じで楽しんでほしいね(笑)」とは大野の弁。お楽しみ下さい!

私は大野雄二トリオのライブに行ってからこのCDを買った
のですが、もうライブを再現って感じですね！！
もちろん、ライブの方が数倍胸が熱くなりますが、ライブに
行けなかった人、行ったことのない人、行ってみたい人、
買って下さいって感じです！
私のお気に入りの曲は黒いオルフェです。最高です。
あと、盗まれたルパン（テレビスペシャル）のエンディングテーマの
A ROSE TATTOOの大野雄二さんのピアノソロバージョンが
入っています。

LUPIN THE THIRDシリーズは「CHIRISTMAS」以外は持っておりますが、この作品が一番気に入りました。YUJI OHNO TRIOとして初めてレコーディングに導入されたというエレキベースですがそれとは余り感じさせない自然な感じで違和感がありませんし、非常に体に染み込んでくるようなサウンドです。是非聞いてみてください！！！お奨めです。。。

心臓捕まれました、ゼニガタロック。
ベースが言葉にできないほどかっこいい。
何回聴いてもドキドキします。
買って聴いて痺れてください。

もちろんゼニガタロック以外の曲も素敵です。
