娘とＬ.Ａ.駅に着いた平凡な税理士ワトソン（ジョニー）は、警官を名乗る２人に娘を人質にとられ、９０分以内にある人間の暗殺を命じられる。言われるがままにホテルへ。暗殺対象は女性州知事とわかるが、回りの警護があり手の出しようもない。まして彼はズブの素人、当然孤立無援・・・。
クリストファー・ウォーケンのワル役もさることながら、メガネをかけたごく普通のサラリーマン風の父親役のジョニーも、なかなかいいもの。舞台はホテルというシングル・ロケーションでいかにも低予算らしい作品。

見所はやはり「素人」が「時間内の殺人命令」を「いかに」処理するのかという一点。そもそも設定には相当無理があるのだが、こういう設定でないと、こういうジョニーは観られなかったのだから、ジョニーのファンとしてあえて何も言うまい。
その無理がスリリングな緊張感をかもし出している。

ジョニーデップが普通のお父さん役を演じているめずらしい作品です。
普通の人間が人を殺さなくてはいけない状況に陥った時の心理状況をうまく表現していて見ごたえがあります！
いつ何が起こってもおかしくない緊迫した状況が続くので、手に汗握りながら観てください!

また、当時子供のいなかったジョニーですが子供とのシーンでは本当のお父さんのようで、ほかの作品では見れない微笑ましい家庭的なジョニーがみれます☆
ただ、ラブシーンはないのでセクシーなジョニーが観たい人は満足できないかもしれません＾＾；
ストーリーがしっかりしてるのでジョニーファンでない方も楽しめますよ！

ジョニー・デップと言えば｢シザーハンズ｣｢チャーリーとチョコレート工場｣や、｢パイレーツ・オブ・カリビアン｣等の凄いメイクと、CGが持ち味の俳優だと思っていましたが、こういう作品にも出ていたとは。
90分以内にカリフォルニア州知事を暗殺しないと娘を殺されてしまうごく平凡な税理士ニックをジョニー・デップが熱演。また、ホテル内で営業しているチョイワルな靴磨き(クリストファー・ウォーケン)がとても良い。ジョニー・デップの新たな一面が発見出来る作品です。
