ピアノの一音一音の響き、そこにとてつもなく豊かなものが含まれているようで、ボーッと聴き惚れてしまいます。エリントンの音楽を、いかに愛して、自分の中でろ過しているか。ベースやドラムを排してピアノとホーン・アンサンブルという、意表を突いたセッティングにも、そういう渋谷さんのエリントンへの洞察が伝わります。美しいハーモニーです。

　名前も内容も前評判を全く知らないまま偶然聴きました。管楽器とピアノという編成には驚きましたが、奇を衒った感じはしません。ジャズのリズムにこだわらず曲の美しさに焦点をあて、演奏は非常に思慮深くまとめられており、この編成は寧ろ熟考の末の産物という印象です。エリントンというとかなり奇妙な曲が多いですが、曲の奇妙さを感じさせない美しい演奏です。

メディアが、あれがいいとか、これがいいとか、いう雑音から離れてみると、結局、いいものがいいんで、それは、みんなが言うからではなく、自分がそう思うから、いいんだという気持ちになってくる。どうしてシブヤンがいいのか、ほんとうはわからないんだけど、このCDなんてきいていると涙がでてくるほど、ほのぼのとしてくる。気持ちがおちつく。。それだけ、年だってことかなあ。世界で認められているかどうか、なんてことは小さい、小さい、シブヤンには宇宙が見えてるって感じなんだよなあ。
