このＣＤがいわゆる「ラウンジ系」「ＤＪもの」との初めての出会いだったので、とーーても衝撃を受けました。こんなオシャレで、かっこいい音楽があるんだ、と。最近のクラブにはあまり行かないので、こんな感じの音楽が流れているのかしら・・、と想像しますが、どうなんでしょうか。購入した当初は昼夜問わず、寝るときにも聞いていました。「歌もの」が半分以上ですが、ＢＧＭとして違和感がなく、それだけリラックスできるからだと思います。

1曲1曲の特徴が色濃くて、ヒットしている「hotel costes」のシリーズよりも「歌」を感じさせますが、ＢＧＭとしてぜんぜん違和感がないです。コンセプト通り、ヨーロッパやアジアを感じさせる曲でトリップ感があります。「エアライン」ものが好きな私としてはたまりません。

~DJ須永辰緒が、イタリアが本家の有名レーベル「イルマ・レコード」から音源をセレクト、CDを通して世界一周旅行を実現してしまおうというコンセプトのMIX CD。

画像がないのが残念だが、ハイセンスなジャケットは一見の価値あり。世界一周への希望膨らむデザインに仕上がっている。

選曲は世界各地のイルマ音源からセレクトされ、ジャズ、ボサノヴァ、ラウンジなどはもちろん、ハウスからオリエンタルリズムまで実に幅広いジャンルが並ぶ。

しかもそのどれもに、一度聞いただけでは分からない独特の「味」が曲に込められている。ライナーに曲名と共に国名が記されているので、その国の風景を思い浮かべながら聞いてみると、本当に世界一周が出来てしまう。
ただ、マニアックな選曲なだけに初心者には辛いところもあるかもしれない。

とはいえ、スペシャルスポンサーのJALも納得のワールドスタンダードなMIX CDである事に間違いはない。
まったくコンセプトが違うが、同じくイルマの音をFreeTEMPOがMIXしたCD「New Side: selected & live mixed by FreeTEMPO」もオススメだ。~
