大好きなトライトーンを聴きながら、そのハーモニーの中に囲まれている瞬間って、とても幸せですね。たった５人で、これだけの幅広い表現力を持ったア・カペラを聴かせてくれるグループは、あまり類をみないと思います。

「おぼろ月夜」、「旅愁」といった懐かしい唱歌をこのようなステキなハーモニーで聴くとその印象も変りますね。アレンジがとても凝っています。曲の雰囲気を壊さない編曲ですので、唱歌特有の温かさが倍化された感じです。日本語の発音もとてもキレイで、穏やかな気分になりました。いいですね。

その昔、シングアウトがヒットさせ、その後ステージ101でも良く歌われた「涙をこえて」も懐かしい曲でした。よくぞ選曲して収録してくれました。
カーペンターズの名曲「SING」もアレンジがとても凝っています。カーペンターズの他の曲のモチーフを絡ませる手法はとてもオシャレで、聴くものをハッとさせますよ。なかなか、やってくれますね。

オリジナル曲の「心のパレット」、「夢紀行」の２曲のみ、旧メンバーで歌われています。貞國公洋さんや川江美奈子さんがまだ独立する前で、二人の作詞・作曲によるものです。今、お二人ともそれぞれ素晴らしい音楽活動をされていますので、そう言う意味でも「トライトーン」時代の貴重な録音といえるでしょう。

勿論、テーマソングとも言うべき「アカペラでゆこう」は楽しい曲ですし、メル・トーメの名唱で有名な「THE CHRISTMAS SONG」を初めとする後半の５曲のクリスマス・ソングはゴージャスなアレンジでした。クリスマスの時期だけでなく、いつ聴いても温かい雰囲気に浸れます。

第１作に続いて、こちらも珠玉の名盤。
やはりオリジナルがいい。
「アカペラでゆこう」「心をつないで」「夢紀行」
どれもアカペラスタンダードとして歌い継ぎたい名曲。
貞國氏のベースが聴けるのもうれしい。
トライトーンの原点がここにあります。

誰でも聴いたことのある曲が、アカペラで生まれ変わる。
「涙をこえて」のアレンジは名曲。
前作と合わせれば、彼らの魅力が全て分かる。
