日本では、“ROAD　MOVIES”がジェニファ・コウ（Vn）のリサイタルで演奏されました。本CDではリーラ・ジョセフォウィッツ（Vn）が演奏します。小気味よく繰り返されるフレーズが、デヴィッド・リンチの映画“Mulholland Drive”が頭をかすめ、心地よく感じられます。結構ヒーリング・リラクゼーションとしても聴けるかもしれません。日本ではなじみの薄いジョン・アダムスですが、米国を代表する現代作曲家、昨日、TV「徹子の部屋」では、都響の常任指揮者デプリーストが出演し、黒柳徹子が好きな詩人エミリー・ディッキンスンの詩にジョン・アダムスが作曲したことが紹介されていました。9.11追悼のためのレクイエム“魂の転生（On the Transmigration of Souls）”が該当する1曲でしょうか。さらに注目したい作曲家です。
