   1950年、スウェーデンの家庭研究所では、ノルウェーの独身男性の台所での行動パターンの調査を行うことになった。調査員のフォルケは、老年の独身男性イザック宅へ。調査対象とは決して話をしてはいけないという規則だったが、ふたりいつしか話をするようになり、ゆっくりと交流を温めていく。
   同じ部屋にいるのに無言でいるときの気まずい空気の妙なおかしさ、会話をかわしてから、ゆっくり広がっていくほのぼのした空気が心地よい。50年代の北欧のインテリアや車など美術にもセンスが感じられ、冬の景色は、しんしんと寒さを感じさせるものの、人間たちは品よく温かくて思わず笑みがこぼれてしまう。『卵の番人』でも斬新でユニークな世界観を披露したベント・ハーメル監督がつくり出した、幸せ気分にしてくれる上質のヒューマンコメディー。（斎藤 香）

小道具に(大道具も)目を惹かれます。北欧の映画だからでしょうか。画面の色使いは全体的に控えめで落ち着いてて、いい感じです。部屋の作りなんて、初老男性の一人暮らしの割にはかわいいなぁ、と。

もう若くはない男同士の友情が、思春期の少年みたいに思えて、なんだか照れくさいです。ケーキに年の数だけロウソクを立てる所もいいですね。

見終わった後に静かにジワーッっとくるような映画です。
物を食べるシーンがとにかく美味しそうに食べていて
思わずお腹がグーっとなってしまいました。

お酒でも飲みながら、一人で静かな時間を過ごすのにもってこいの映画

　映画館の予告編で見て以来、独身男性の台所での動線調査をするというのが、意外な感じで妙に気になってしまいました。
　台所に奇妙な監視台椅子を持ち込み、調査を始めと、見る側も何か起こるだろうなあ・・・と静かなわくわくを抱いてしまいますよね。
　ノルウェーとスウェーデンは同じ北欧だと思っていましたが、さりげなく揶揄されていたりして、それがとっても新鮮でしたし、北欧の人びとの日常生活を初めて知りました。郵便配達は簡単なそりでひゅーとやってきたり。
　声を発しないけれど、会話がないのではなくて、ちょっとした身振りや視線の先に男同士だから成り立つ、武骨なようで少しづつ通い合うふたりを見ているうちに、一緒にうれしくなってしまいました。
