　グループに解散はつきものだけど…。でも今回は活動休止。理由はシングルマザーであるタッシュが2歳の息子との時間をとるため。４年間ノンストップで曲を出し続け、日本の番組でもばんばん流れてるので誰でも聴いた事があるはずです。全般的に明るい曲が多くイギリスのポップミュージックを背負ってきただけあります。カバー曲も多く、全てピカ一！！もちろん踊れる曲ばかり。どんな年齢にも通じる１枚です！

アトミック・キトゥンは、以前からオムニバス・アルバムでhit曲・数曲を聞いていて、ハーモニーがきれいで、ﾟ+.ﾟ(*･ω･)bﾟ+.ﾟイイ!! と思っていました。解散？と聞いて、ベスト盤を購入に至りました。ボーナス・トラックの“デイドリーム・ビリーヴァー”(モンキーズのヒット曲)もお奨めです。

アメリカと違って、UKはスパイス・ガールズやこのアトミック・キトゥンのようなガールズ・グループがなぜ売れるのか不明ですが、とにかくこのアルバムは、元気になれるハッピー・ポップスです。

2002年にイギリスに留学中、偶然テレビで彼女達の新曲「The Tide Is High (Get The Feeling) ←日本のビールのCMでもおなじみの曲」を耳にして物凄く気に入ったのですが、CDを購入する機会がありませんでした。ところが彼女達が解散したと聞いて驚き、急いでベストCDを購入。これは大正解でした。洋楽に明るくない私でも知っていた「Whole Again」「Eternal Flame←確か日本のCMでも別の歌手が歌ってるバージョンで流れてました」は、大げさではなく100回以上聴きましたが、何度聞いても全然飽きません。朝、授業に出る前に聴いて、気合を入れてます。その他の曲も元気一杯で、まさに「典型的英国製アイドル」という感じ。イギリスのテレビを見ていて思いましたが、イギリスには日本と同じような「アイドル」というジャンルが存在するんですよね（「ASAYAN」みたいな番組もあるし…）。メロディーラインといい歌声といい、Atomic Kittenも日本人に受け入れられ易いタイプだと思うのですが、どうして日本では知名度が低いのか不思議です。プロモーションが悪かったのでしょうね…
