4.0 out of 5 stars メロディアスハード系パワーメタル, 2006/2/15
デンマーク出身の新人バンドで、Queensryche系のセンスを取り入れたパワーメタルをやっている。
これが予想以上にかっこいい。
プログレを程良く入れ、耳に残る綺麗なメロディを上手く溶かしてうるさくないツーバスに乗せて伸びやかな心地良いハイトーンで仕上げた、そんな感じのとても清清しいサウンドを身の上としている。
最初、「Balance of powerやん！！」とか思ったら、Voが元Balance of powerだった（笑）
ランスは歌うまいなあ、、、
ていうかこの人バイオメカニカルでも歌ってなかった？？？　いや、バイオメカニカルはジョンｋだった。　　彼もBalance of power辞めたみたいだあ。　うーん、Balance of power可哀想。
だけどバイオメカニカルもかっこいいんだよなあ、、
NEVERMORE的な感じがして良かった。

話を戻します。
影響されたアーティストとしてメイデン、ブラガ、アイスドアース、ナイトウィッシュを挙げているだけあって、メロディーセンスはかなりのもの。
でもやはり一番近いのはQueensrycheだと思う。
ラビリンスっぽい感じもする。

いずれも叙情的なメロディを備えたプログレがかったパワーメタルを聴かせている。

最後に誤解をしてもらいたくないので付け足すと、パワーメタルだが、そこまでアグレッシヴではありません。　そこに期待して聴くと、物足りなさを感じるかもしれません。
『大人しいパワーメタル』といった感じでしょうか？
迫力を求めたら失望してしまうと思うので、気をつけてください。

デンマーク出身、メロディック・メタル・バンドのデビュー・アルバム。
目玉はなんと言ってもシンガーとして元BALANCE OF POWERのランス・キングが参加していることだろう。

サウンドは極々オーソドックスなもの。
Keyのサウンドが際立っているところが特徴か。
押し付けがましくない程度にテクニカルな要素も散りばめられている。

ハーモニーの処理に難があり、せっかくの上手いVoが活かされていないのが残念。
メロディも悪くはないものの、飛びぬけた出来のものは見当たらなかった。

かなりの質は備えているので次のアルバムに期待。
