傑作1st「ストレンジ・ブティック｣をリリースしたヴァージンからチェリーレッドに移ってリリースされたサードにして大傑作アルバム。得体の知れない怪しい雰囲気は大分薄れてきたけれど、単純にカッコいいリフ、美しいメロディーが次々とあふれ出す快作で、親しみやすさという点では最高傑作と言ってよいと思う。まず、何といってもこのバンドを代表する名曲「Jet Set Junta」が最高！ロカビリー、サーフ・ロック等をここまで軽妙かつ上品にデフォルメしたそのセンスたるや、ハンパではない。他にもビートルズの名曲をもじったタイトルの、ノスタルジックな60年代風ポップスを聞かせる「I'll Scry Instead｣やエル･レーベル所属のアンソニー･アドヴァースもカヴァーしたこのバンドらしい無国籍風味が眩しい「Rulling Class｣、「Mating Game｣,「Fun for all the family｣といったこのバンドを代表するマスター・ピスの数々を堪能できる。これを気に入った方には、このアルバム収録曲のスタジオ･ライヴや初期シングル、未発表曲等が収録された名編集盤「Volume,Contrast,Brilliance｣も併せてオススメします。さらにタイトかつフレッシュなバンド・サウンドが聞けます。
