初めて聴いた方にはBUMP OF CHIKEN、スピッツなどに多少似通った印象をうけるかもしれませんが、メレンゲにもしっかりとした独自の世界があると思います。その世界は幻想的でなぜか懐かしいものを感じさせてくれます。

個人的にはそんな幻想を描いた｢夕凪｣が一番好きですが、他の曲もすべてやさしくその世界に包んでくれます。
よろしければ、ぜひ一度メレンゲの世界に足を運んでみてさい。

インディーズ時代の３曲＋人気曲の初音源化の２曲という
ベスト盤的なミニアルバムです。　
初恋サンセットと比べ歌詞があまりパッとしませんし
これぞ名曲っていう曲はありませんが、
ベスト盤的だけあって粒ぞろいの良曲が詰まってます。
まさに伸び盛りのメレンゲといった感じです。
夕凪、グレゴリーは比較的ロック要素もあって
メロディラインも心地良いです。

綺麗なメロディーに綺麗な声。
聴けば聴くほど良さが伝わりました。
最初から最後まで飛ばす曲もなく聴けます♪
