　若い頃から変わらないウィスパーヴォイスは、やはりこの系統の第一人者！？ゲインズブールとのデュオ以来やはり彼女は男とのコラボがよく似合う。一緒に歌う男共が、バーキンと一緒だとなぜかゲインズブールに聞こえてくるのが、不思議だ。（というより、バーキンと共演するとゲインズブールを意識せざるを得ないのかもしれない。）ジャケットの写真を見ても相変わらずスリムでスタイリッシュ。誤解を招くといけないが、滑稽ギリギリの「なりきり」の世界はやはりバーキンの世界にいりびったって聴くべきだろう。上手い下手でなく、雰囲気を楽しむ音楽だと思う。
