【モンキーマジック（MONKEY MAJIK）】
東北青森にて結成され、仙台を拠点として活動しているカナダ人2P（Gt・Vo：ブレイズプラント / Vo・Gt：メイナードプラント）＋日本人2P（B：漆坂ミサオ / Dr：菊池拓哉）の4人組ロックバンド。2003年9月に仙台限定で発売した自主制作盤「SPADE」で支持を集めた。カナダ人のプラント兄弟がツインヴォーカル・ツインギターで日本語と英語を織り交ぜて奏でる楽曲は、唯一無二としか言いようがないほど強烈。

カナダ人がボーカル？そんな興味半分で手に取り、
値段も安いからと軽い気持ちで買ったらば、はまって
しまいました!!
雰囲気で言えばコールドプレイのような。
でも、洋楽が苦手と言う方にもお勧めです♪
勿論、洋楽が好きで邦楽が苦手と言う方にもお勧めです♪
ある意味欲張りなアルバムです。

バンドメンバーの奇抜さから彼らを知ることになりましたが、
その奇抜さを差し引いても、良く出来たメロディーラインで
見事な詩です。
ゆったりと優しい言葉遣いは聴くものにストレスを与えず、
かといって、ゆるゆるとした曲調でもない大人なバンドといいましょうか。

仙台出身でなくとも、今後の活躍が気になります。

仙台で去年発売されてたCDですが、カナダ人の兄弟と東北出身の日本人が上手い具合に絡み合った４人組バンドです。
仙台ではもう既にかなり知名度もあります。とにかく曲が良い！東北在住でこんなすばらしい音楽を作っていることに感動！
お薦めレベル１０ですね。
