2年連続世界NO.1DJに選ばれたDJ Tiestoのセカンドアルバム。
このアルバムでクラブミュージックの最先端の音が体感できます。彼にしか作れないであろうこの独自のサウンドは、素晴らしいの一言です。

ただオリジナル盤とは微妙に曲順が変えてあり、本来CD1-10にCD2-1が来ます。アーティストの意思によって決められた曲順を変える事は、作品自体を壊しかねないので止めてもらいたいです。それと日本先行発売ではないはずです。CCCDとなってます。

もう少しアーティストの作品を大事にして欲しいと思います。

イギリスのDJ誌で2年連続世界NO.1DJに選ばれたティエストが前作”In My Memory”以来約3年振りにリリースするアルバム”Just Be”は、ティエストが現在最も好んでいるスタイルであるテックトランスを始めとして、アップリフティング/プログレッシブトランス、４つ打ち無しのボーカルトラックなど様々なスタイルの曲で構成されており聞き応え十分の内容となっています。今回のアルバムで世界中のダンスフロアでプレイされティエストの最新トレンドを反映している”Traffic”を始めとして、BT(L.A.をベースに活動するハウスミュージックプロデューサー)とのコラボ作でBT自身のボーカルがフィーチャリングされている” Love Comes Again”、Motorcycle名義で”As The Rush Comes”(2003年にリリースされた最新のミックスアルバムNyanaに収録)を大ヒットさせ今注目を浴びているジョシュ・ガブリエル(サンフランシスコをベースに活動している名リミキサー/プロデューサー)とコラボーレト、さらに女性ボーカル(*1前作のアルバムに収録されている”Urban Train”以来のコラボとなりイギリスを拠点に活動を続ける歌姫 カースティ・ホークショウ)がフィーチャリングされている”Walking On Clouds”が、今回のアルバムで最も注目すべきタイトルでしょう。今やクラッシックとなりつつある哀愁ダッチトランスとテックトランスが融合したクラシックネタのアンセム”Adagio For Strings”そして前作アルバムのオープニングトラックである”Magik Journey”のスタッフが放ち疾走感のあるトラック”Forever Today”と壮大なアンセム” A Tear In The Open”、女性ボーカル(*1)の甘い声が印象的でこのアルバムのタイトル名となっている”Just Be”も見逃せません。自身２作目となる今回のアルバムは、職人ティエストの実力が炸裂！した内容となっており間違いなく買い！でしょう。

iTuneでこの作品を買ったのだけど、ビットレートが128kbpsしかなくて貧弱な感じがした。
生楽器だけじゃなくて電子音楽にとっても音質というのは大事なんだなあと感じる。

日本じゃ間違った消費のされ方によって大幅にイメージが悪化してしまったトランスだけど、
tiestoほどの大御所となるとやはり全く格が違う。

彼の曲中で最も人気のある"Adagio for strings"は何度もリピートして聴いてしまう、本当に「浸れる」曲。
元ネタはクラシックで、ケネディ大統領の葬儀に使われたほどの有名曲。
"Just be"はKirsty Hawkshawの歌声が、伸びやかで聴いていて気持ちがいいの一言。

トランスというジャンルを代表する一作！
