曲調も歌詞も最終的には前向きで、梅雨や夏の蒸し暑さを追い払う涼しいロック。英語詞の歌、日本語の歌両方が入っているという意味での、ボニーの従来のバイリンガリズム（二言語使用）も健在です。シングル曲とアルバム曲とのあいだに仕上がりの差がなく、アルバム全体に統一感があります。宇多田ヒカル、浜崎あゆみの次元で売れるアルバムではないですが、週に一枚はCDアルバムを聴くほどの音楽リスナーからすると、このアルバムはグッド・ミュージックの宝庫でしょう。

今回の目玉は、ボニー本人談によると、9・11同時多発テロ以降の世界情勢を憂慮してソングライトしたというトラック５だと思われます。少しでもメッセージが出ると、きな臭く感じるリスナーもいらっしゃるでしょう。でも、この一曲があるおかげで、ひとつになりたいと願う男女についてのただのラヴ・ソング／恋愛讃歌としてだけではなく、平和を愛し、人種、国境、宗教を乗り越えてひとつになりたいと願う人間愛への讃歌としてまでも聴きうる広がりがこのアルバム全体にできているので、非常によかった、と個人的には思います。

詩・曲・アレンジ・サウンドそしてBONNIE PINKのヴォーカルのどれをとっても素晴らしい。ここ1年ほぼ毎日聞いていますが、全く聞き飽きないどころかまだまだ聴き足りないと言う感じです。その後カバーを含めて2枚のアルバムをリリースしているBONNIE PINKですが、残念ながらこの「EVEN SO」は超えていませんね。やはりトーレ・ヨハンソンの力量に負う所なのでしょうか…

友達の影響で彼女を知り、初めて買ったボニー・ピンクのアルバムです。
なんとも心地よいボーカル。歌い上げるのは声量を出すだけじゃないんですよね。
そして彼女の声は聴けば聴くほど好きになる昆布のような声です。
でも和風じゃないから何杯飲んでも飽きないカフェ・オレって方がイメージに合うのかな？
１年前に購入して今でも色褪せないどころか、聴き込むほど良くなるミラクル・アルバムです♪
全曲好きですが「I just want you to be happy」がイチオシです。
