オリジナル・デビュー・アルバムに、バージョン違いもふくめて４曲プラスしたお徳盤。
　ポスト・パンクの新星の一つとしてデビューした彼ら。パンクの不毛性を批判し、しかし音としてはあきらかにパンク以後しかありえなかった音を鳴らした。
　ブログレッシヴと共に冗漫の代表としてパンクの槍玉に挙げられていた「サイケデリック」という言葉をバンド名にひっさげて、個性的に登場した。ベルベット・アンダーグラウンドやロキシー・ミュージックを引き合いに出されるように、知的なダンス・ミュージックを提案した。少ないコードの繰り返しの上に、インプロビゼーションの演奏が載せられていくスタイルを身上とした。他グループにはあまり見られないサックスが印象的。
　特筆すべきはリチャード・バトラーのVo.で、意外な例え方をすると、三輪明宏のような存在感のある歌唱力を披露する。たたみかけるようなVo.スタイルは、パンクの歌唱法であり、うねるようなサウンドとあいまって、ネオ・サイケと呼ばれた。
　比較的大曲が多いが、「フォール」や「パルス」のようなコンパクトな曲もハッとするような切れ味がある。

もう２８年前（1980）になるFURSのデヴュー盤。彼らの音楽を”The Beautiful Chaos”とファンは名づけたらしいが、当たってると思う。混沌として切ないメロディー。サイケとプログレがごちゃ混ぜになったサウンドは、まさに『美しき混沌』と呼ぶにふさわしい。

一枚目なのに完成度が高く、名曲、佳曲が多い。加えてロックのパワーも迫力もある。若かりしFURSのエナジーが感じられる傑作だと思う。

ボーナストラックもなかなかに充実していて、１０曲目、１１曲目などは本編にいれても何の問題もないクオリティだ。やっぱアナログ時代だからカットされてたのかなぁ。
ちなみに、FLOWERSはデモヴァージョンの13曲目の方が良いと思うのは私だけでしょうか？

とにかく1曲目のIndiaで吹っ飛びます！そして2曲目のSister Europeでガッツリ落とされはまりましただ･･･（発売当時）
録音のガレージっぽいのも◎今聞いても若いエナジー感じます！
どの曲とってもFURSの異世界！最後まで気に入ったらもうＦＵＲＳファン！
これが原点！必聴！ bonus trackも入っているしね♪
生粋のBOWIEファンだが似てると思ったことはないんだけどなぁ･･･"
今となってはＦＵＲＳはどの曲、どのアルバムに最初に出会ったかでかなり印象が違ってくると思います。
またＦＵＲＳに自分が何を求めるかも･･･
でも、いつだって根底・原点は何も変わっちゃいないんだよね。
