「ガンダムSEED」アニメ自体の感想はそれぞれ良否分かれているようですが、音楽はとても素晴らしかったと思います。
今回「編集盤」として発売される訳ですが、担当するオーケストラは『スターウォーズ』のサントラで賞をとったとの事で、更に興味を惹かれます。
ジャケットは、現段階の予定では平井氏が描きおろしたキラとアスラン。

更にインタビューなども含まれているようです。
「ガンダムSEED」ファンで有るなら、そしてその音楽に興味が有るなら、買って悔いは無いものだと思います。

偶然TVで目にしたガンダムSEEDでしたが、その後DVDを借りて見ることにした大きな要因は、その音楽でした。ダイナミックな曲調、繊細なメロディーラインは、物語を大いに盛り上げたと思います。このCDは、アニメの中で登場したBGMをアレンジし、一枚でSEEDの世界を作り上げていますが、SEEDを知らない方で、音楽好きの方、例えば、吹奏楽を体験したことのある方などにも楽しめるのではないかと思います。個人的には、作曲家ご本人も「大曲に仕上げた」とおっしゃっている、第10章が壮大な宇宙を感じさせ、好きです。この章の、ブラスによるアンサンブルは聴いていて興奮します。聞いてみてください。

皆さんの知っている通り、ロンドンシンフォニーオーケストラが演奏した作品は最も質が高くて有名な曲も沢山です（例えば「ＢＲＡＶＥＨＥＡＲＴ」のサントラ…最高ですよ）。ＧＵＮＤＡＭ　ＳＥＥＤのＴＶサントラの中の曲をシンフォニーで演奏するのはやはりアニメのバックグランド音楽とは違って、壮大な感じ…かな？演奏はもちろん、スコアもとっても好い感じです。シンフォニーが好きな方は買っても絶対損しません。新しい曲はないけれど、知っている曲をシンフォニーで聴くととても違う感じです。まるでＧＵＮＤＡＭ　ＳＥＥＤのストーリーが本当に宇宙中に広がっている…という感じかな？
