「Heaven」の心地よいギターのカッティングに誘われて手にした
このアルバム。どれがメインのスタイルか迷うほどの様々な曲調が
あり、いまいちつかみどころがわからない感があるが、それほど
振り幅のある技術とセンスがあるということだろう。
オマケのライブ映像ではベースの置き弾き？肩のっけ奏法？目隠し？
など、なんじゃこりゃ的パフォーマンスにビックリ。←必見！
とはいえ演奏技術はかなりのもの。グラミー賞にもノミネート
されてるし、いろんな意味で注目です。

彼らのこのアルバムはマルーン５と同様、
ビルボード・チャートに長い間インしているのに
まだ国内版が出ていないのが不満。
それはさておき、
意外だと思ったのはラテン・ロック一色のバンド
かと思って聴いてみたら、さわやかなサウンドの
曲も半々くらいで収録されていたことでしょうか。
いわゆるウェストコーストサウンド風の曲が半分、

（＃２、＃６、＃７、＃１１など）
その他にサンタナのようなラテンロック全開の曲や、
ブルージーなロックの曲、スパニッシュな感じの曲、
そしてピアノバラードとたしかにいろいろな曲が
つまったアルバムである。
全体を通してなんともいえない哀愁があるのもよい。
レーベルが売ろうとしているというより、自然に

長期間にわたって売れているのだと推測させられる
良質のアルバムだと思います。

　ギターは長髪の色男、ベースはすばしっこそうな好青年、ドラムはケンカっ早そうな太鼓腹。絵に描いたようなメキシコ系３人兄弟によるスケールの大きいラテンロックバンド。
　ロス・ロボスがサイバー化や音楽的探求の中で失ってしまったフィジカルな側面を思いっきり前面に押し出し、喜怒哀楽のはっきりした楽曲を情熱的に演っている。

　ロカビリー調からソウル調、ストリング・チーズ・インシデント顔負けのインプロヴィゼーションで押しまくる（８）まで、音楽的な引き出しは意外にも多い。挙げ句の果てに（１２）ではベタなAORのセンスまで覗かせており、これから先、トンチンカンな方向に行きかねない危険な香りも漂わせる（笑）

　８０年代のロス・ロボスが好きな人は間違いなく“買い”。「デスペラード」のアントニオ・バンデラスに男惚れした御仁にもお勧め。イタリア製のコンヴァーチブルでリゾートをカッ飛ばしたいお姉さんにもお勧め。
