Vikiさんの音楽は、彼女がインディーズのころからずっと聴いてきました。ライブハウスで、ピアノを弾きながら歌っている彼女には、空気を動かすパワーがあります。「ちがうよ」を初めてライブで聴いたときは、なぜか涙が止まらなくて、こんな人がいるんだと驚いたことを覚えています。このＣＤを聴いてちょっとがっかりしました。曲のアレンジはあたりさわりのないものになっていて、彼女の歌やピアノにやどるパワーが押さえられてしまっているからです。ピアノも、バックに小さく入っている程度だし、別の人が弾いているようで、彼女独特のくせ（いい意味で）もなく、残念でした。
次回作に期待します！！同じ女性として、これからも応援しています。

私は「プロローグ」「波の音が聴こえる？」が特に好きである。
ただ、ファンだからこそ以下のことを敢えて言いたい。
vikiの歌、作品は間違いなく上質である。しかし、総じて肝心の編曲家陣が、彼女の持ち味を活かしきれていない。とりわけ奥野真哉氏のアレンジはひどい。特に「ちがうよ」は、アマチュア時代の彼女のピアノ弾き語りで非常に魅力的だった前奏の３連符のフレーズがなくなっている。「静寂の森」でも、彼女のピアノの効果的なフレーズの持ち味を消し、余計な装飾を付け加えて全体を台無しにしてしまっている。他に、服部克久氏のアレンジは、まるでイージーリスニングのようだ。
なぜ彼女自身にピアノを弾かせないで、豪華だけれどもセンスにおいてより劣る、あるいは古臭い作家陣にサウンドを委ね、彼女の才能を殺すようなまねをするのだろうか。
声を大にして言いたい、彼女の真価はこんなものじゃないと。

　どことなく物悲しい音楽。
　ジャケットにあるように、誰もいない海岸を歩いていくようなイメージがする。
　輝く月の下、白砂の鈍い明かるんでいる中を とぼとぼ と一人で…そんな寂しい風景が浮かぶ。

　詩も 別れや片思いなどの切ないテーマが多い｡
　だが、それが曲を最大限にいきいきと輝かせている。
　よく言われる「透明な悲しみ」…その言葉がしっくりとくるアーティストだ。

　その才能が静かに燃えているのは、トラック２の 『ちがうよ』。
　これほど、別れの瞬間の気持ちを表した曲はないのでは？

　頭が真っ白になって、もう何も考えられない。
　頭の中では好きだけがぐるぐる回っている。
　なのに、別れる……「ちがうよ」
　何が正しいのかも分からない。でも 「ちがうよ」……。好きなんだよ…

　何度もただ繰り返される言葉が、切なさを胸に刻んでいく…
　本当に切ないナンバーだ。

　アルバムを聴き始めた頃は、Single曲『静寂の森』、タイトル曲『Prologue』の澄みきった世界に引き込まれる。
　だが、聴きこんでくると『センチメンタル・カフェ』 『君がいなくなった今』の詩の重さに気付いていく。
　特に メランコリーなその想いは、『心のつぶて』に凝集されている。
　相手の全てを知っていたいし、自分の全てを見ていて欲しい。
　恋愛に不器用で、相手に求めすぎてしまう気持ちが 痛いほど胸に突き刺さる。

　ほとんど、失恋のコンセプトアルバムのような一枚。
　恋を引きずってしまい なかなか立ち直れない。
　そんな人はきっと彼女の心に 共感できるはずである。
