ここ最近はガイナックスとも縁が無かった私だが、
エヴァのＯＰや「魂のルフラン」を歌った高橋洋子女史の新曲…
ということで醜美に興味を持った。それがきっかけである。
ＤＶＤのレビューでも語らせてもらったが、ＯＰ曲というのは大事である。
その曲の歌詞や映像イメージで、その番組の是非が問われると言っても過言ではない。

現に、かつて高橋女史がＯＰ曲を担当した「新世紀エヴァンゲリオン」
のＯＰ情報量はスゴかった。サブリミナル的に次々と映像を入れ、
自然と見ているうちに視聴者を歌と共に物語に引きずりこむのだから。
この作品のＯＰの場合は印象的かつ抽象的なシーンを交互に見せる
ことで視聴者の興味を引く傾向にある様だ。無論、高橋女史の歌声が

その効果を助長していることは言うまでもない。
ＥＤ曲はＯＰ曲と打って変わって明るい感じだが、静と動を感じられて
これもいい感じである。歌がきっかけでアニメを見るのは何年ぶりだろうか…。

この曲は、Bs-iで放送が始まったアニメ「この醜くも美しい世界」のテーマソングで、歌っているのはあの「残酷な天使のテーゼ」でおなじみの高橋洋子さんです。最初にアニメのOPでこの「metamorphose」を聴いたときには軽く身震いするほど感動しました。ちなみにこの「metamorphose」という言葉は「超自然的力で、著しく変形させる」という意味があり、なるほどと思わせてくれます。またEDになっている「夏色のカケラ」も歌っているのは石田耀子さんなので安心して聴いていられますしなかなか味わい深い曲だと思います。これは絶対買いでしょ

高橋洋子さんの新曲、ということで買ったのですが、
もう、最高！の一言に尽きます。

高橋さんのすばらしい歌については、皆さん語られてるので、
あえて作曲者についてコメントを。

metamorphoseの作曲者、大森俊之さんは、
高橋さんの歌う「魂のルフラン」、機動戦艦ナデシコのＯＰなど
キャッチーで特徴のある曲を多く作曲なさってる方なのですが、

今回も、深い歌詞、高橋さんの歌声の魅力を最大限に引き出す、
切なくもダイナミックな旋律をつむぎだしてくれてます。
一度聴いたら忘れない、極上の作・編曲も一聴の価値ありです！！
