　競艇が舞台のアニメねえ……。別に競艇に興味もないし、そもそも競艇場に行ったこともないし。別にどうでもいいや。

　そう思ったアナタ。このアニメ、絶対にハマるが勝ちです。事実、私も最初はそう思っていて、放送していることは知っていたのですが、まったく見ていませんでした。そのおかげで、初めてこのアニメを見たのが、なんとストーリーもほとんど佳境に入ってしまっていた、第１９話「洞口がきたっ！」でした。そのため、はじめのうちは、主人公が洞口ジュニアだとばかり思っていました。(その当時、ちょうど洞口ジュニアがメインの話が続いていたので……)。
　そんな私ですが、今では、この作品に、深夜たまたまチャンネルを変えたことによって出会えることができた、この幸運ともいえる偶然に大感謝しています。
　

　長くなりましたが、言いたいことはただ１つです。(いや、２つかな)。人間、ろくに見もしないで、思い込みだけで判断するのはよくない！ ということと、(偶然って、ホント恐ろしいなぁ、ということ)です。
　

　じつに丹念な取材をされていて、ＣＧによる、すばらしいレースシーンを作り上げていらっしゃるスタッフ様に、本当に心から深く感謝したくなるようなスゴイ作品です。ぜひ一度、アナタもハマってみてはいかがですか？

この作品は新人競艇選手波多野憲二の奮戦を描いた作品です。
タイトルの「モンキーターン」と言う言葉は競艇のボートがレース中に
全速旋回する事を言います。（凄く高度な旋回技術でも有ります）
作品中では競艇のルールの説明も有り競艇の事が解らない人にも楽しめます又レースシーンはCG使用の為迫力も満点です！

私の住んでる所はテレビ放送されていないのだった（T_T）
だから非常に嬉しい！競艇との出会いは10年程前になりますが、競馬に比べ競艇のイメージは余り良いものではなかった。実際に競艇場も汚かったしオヤジ達の柄も悪かったな・・・
でも最近では競艇場の雰囲気も明るくなったし、女性ファンも増えて何かいい感じです(*^^*)V

このモンキーターンを見て少しでも競艇に興味を持ってくれれば嬉しいです。ギャンブルとしてではなくモータースポーツとして見ても面白いですよ。早く第２節が見たいのダ！
